WHAT: Canon selves event! A seance gone awry has had its effect on the school, bringing about mental and physical changes to students and staff alike! Full details of the combinations of effects can be found here.
STATUS: Ongoing! Use whichever style you like.

[Spring brings change, but that change isn't always a good thing! Whether your character has changed entirely into their canon self, or only in part, please keep in mind that whatever they know/learn of their original canon during this event will be unable to be clearly recalled - disappearing with their past self - when the event is over. This is to avoid fourth-walling after the conclusion of the event.

Please also keep in mind that some people will not want to fourth-wall during the event! Make sure it's alright with the other player before you decide to do that. Above all, though, have fun!]

[She inclines her head further in return, out of respect. The fangs make it a little more difficult for her to read him, but she manages and is relieved to see that language won't be a barrier as it has been with some others.

From the way he addresses her she can conclude he is a teacher. Looking at him, however, it is impossible for her to tell who it is exactly.]

Thank you, Professor...? It seems that there are a lot of changes going on fur--for everyone. Is there some way I can help?

Rhydderch. And I imagine that a cool head is your best option currently. These things always pass, and so far I have seen nothing dangerous about the transformations. Perhaps you could tell me what you've encountered this morning, however?

[He crouches so she's a little closer to eye level, though he still looms above her even like this. His long arms and huge shoulders make him look almost simian in that posture, and his claws click against the stone as he settles.]

[Ah! The Potions Master. Now that she looked more closely she could see some faint resemblances here and there, but she never would have guessed had she not been told. She nodded her head at the advice, tucking it away to give to anyone else she might encounter.

Now that she knew who it was, and that he had maintained his mind, Meulin knew she had no need to fear. In fact she looked at Rhys with a small degree of awe, committing this image of him in this posture to put to paint some other day.]

There were a couple others that looked like you. Not as big but [And she indicated the top of her head to refer to his horns] and the gray skin. Um. A lot of people look the same but seem to have furgotten their mewmories.

Forgotten how? Do you mean they think they're somewhere else or someone else, or they've no memories at all?

Umm, the first two. Kinda. From the couple I've been able to understand, if we assume the pattern is the same then they don't recognize Hogwarts but still know who they are? Kinda. But some weren't even able to speak English at all so I couldn't really figure out what was going on. I took a couple to the Hospital Wing.

Well done, child. [sighs, rubbing his claws through his mass of hair] Hm, something similar to this happened before, but with ages. I'll have to speak with more students before we can truly determine what's happening, though. Have you spoke with Miss Maryam?

[Meulin seems to perk up at the compliment, and she smiles but retains her composure.]

Briefly, but she had her hands full and I didn't want to distract her.

[It's a little odd. The more she looks, the more Rhys seems to resemble that picture 'Kurloz' had drawn in her notebook. Likely just coincidence, but a strange one indeed.]
