WHAT: Easter is in the air and eggs are in your hair! Except not really, but there are eggs everywhere and it is your job to find them.
STATUS: Ongoing! Use whichever format strikes your fancy.

[It's finally time to kick off the egg hunt! You're paired up and the eggs are hidden, so go off and find those eggs! They are hidden literally everywhere, even in places you may not expect them to be. So be sure to look everywhere, just try not to get in too much trouble! Friendly competition is one thing, just don't punch anyone in the face trying to get an egg.

[The other professors might not mind you rooting around in their classrooms, but Filch is still grump. Good luck finding eggs with him around.]

[Feferi hasn't had a lot of success finding any eggs so far, it took her awhile just to found a few, she doesn't know if it's been her luck or not. But she is really hoping today that both, Mituna and her would actually find something.

It's while walking around the dungeons that Feferi finally spots a egg.]


"Hey, Mituna!! I found one of the eggs, come over here!!"

[helmetdoesnothing]

Wh-- fuck!

[Trust Mituna to trip over thin air. It's only hitting a wall that saves him from landing flat on his face, and he pushes away from it with a quiet grumble to join Feferi, hands pushed awkwardly into his pockets.]

Where ith it?

[Kurloz isn't intent on getting eggs for himself - he figures if he finds some, great, if not, he won't cry himself to sleep. So when he spots the bright, sunshine yellow egg peeking out from a partially open broom-closet, how can he resist?

He tucks it in his pocket and keeps walking, frowning with confusion when he realizes he's shrinking... and getting younger, judging by his hands...

When he finally stops and stares at his hands, patting his face with horror, there's a four year-old Kurloz standing in the dungeons with his too-big robes hanging off him in a heap.]

[Murdoc has split from Charlotte for the moment to poke around himself. Really, he could use a break and nobody can blame him!! Even if he's the one doing the nagging here. Whatever!

He's padding around the dungeons when he catches sight of a flutter of robes, maybe he can swoop in and snatch the eggs before...oh. god. not again. Another turned tiny? Who mandated this event.

He strides toward the tiny teen and clears his throat for their attention.]

You alright there?

[innocent_insanity]

[Kurloz turns at the familiar voice but instead of being at close to eye-level with the professor, he finds himself having to crane his neck back to stare up at the man, marvelling at how tall he is from down here. He signs slowly:]

Yes. You're very tall right now.

[wwistful]

[Don't think he doesn't notice the marvelling expression. Here he thought you were bright, Kurloz! Such a silly look on your face.

He nods along as he signs, taking a moment to consider before speaking in return.]

I'm my normal height, actually It's you who has gotten short.

[preanimator]

What happened to you? [Doesn't recognize Kurloz, but the last time there were little kids running around, it was a de-aging spell, so he figures this is the same thing.]

[Blinks up owlishly at Herbert and grins, distracted from his momentary panic. He then waves in a measured way that means 'hello' in sign, mouthing it and hoping Herbert will recognise him by it.]

[preanimator]

[Herbert's clever, it only takes him a moment to puzzle it out by the lack of voice and the eyes.] Oh, Makara. Something happened through the school again?

[Rhys recognizes the child immediately, possibly because at that age, he looks painfully like Rhys's sister, Rhian. Something about the large, expressive eyes ...

He has to stop, allow himself a moment to collect himself. Is this what he would have had in his life, had Maeve told him, had they stayed together? It's painful to think about, but his face is utterly calm when he finally approaches, not knowing whether Kurloz will even know where he is, if he's become a small child in both mind and body.]

Child? What are you doing here?

[Kurloz has to crane his head back to stare up at Rhys and even then he can only barely see the man's face. He grins when he can see the wild mane of hair just visible over the man's broad shoulders and begins to sign with his tiny hands that for some reason don't feel as dexterous as they should be, the shapes clumsy to the point it irritates him so he digs through his bag which now seems big enough for him to crawl into.]

[The huge man crouches, watching him, then gently and silently summons the paper and ink, so that they bump up against Kurloz's tiny hands as they surface in his bag.]

Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom

[So you may have heard there were eggs in the girl's lavatory that just so happens to be haunted by Moaning Myrtle. Do you dare venture into her domain?]

[So... John's conflicted. On one hand, his team needs all the eggs they can get, because winning and stuff.

But on the other hand, girls' bathroom. Haunted girls bathroom at that. Decisions, decisions.]

Should we try it?

No one ever uses it.

[Dirk cares significantly less about it being a haunted girl's bathroom, apparently.]

C'mon. The faster we look around here, the faster we can move on.

[Well, the Strider has decided, so off they go!

And once they're in, the question is where to look. There aren't many hiding spots in a bathroom, so...]

... You don't think they put them in the toilets, do you?

[Dirk glances around. It looks like no one's in the stalls, at least...]

Might as well check the sinks first.

Lake

[If you happen to see something glinting in the water, that's because the Squid is feeling like participating, too! So see if you can tickle that egg from it's tentacles, or just scout around the edge of the lake to look for eggs there!]

[Bruce isn't all that interested in searching for the eggs, but he still spots one when he goes down to the lakeside to read. Then again, the orange is kind of vibrantly obvious in the afternoon light. He grabs it, thinking he can pass it on to someone else later, and tucks it in his bag. Moments later though, he spots another bright orange egg hidden among the roots of the tree he usually sits under, so he grabs that too.

Then he suddenly shrinks and finds himself staring out from the collar of his crumpled clothes. Feeling a brief flare of panic, he glances down at his hands only to find two tiny brown paws and yelps, noticing how he sounds now. Grumbling, he hunkers down in his too-big clothes and sets his chin on his paws - he knew he shouldn't have touched those eggs.

Anyone who chances across the pile of Ravenclaw clothes by the lake will find a brown Mudi puppy tangled in it, looking so very despondent.]

[arrogantalloy]

[Taking a break from the egg collecting and it's craziness, Tony heads down to the lake to look for Bruce, as he hasn't found him anywhere else so far.

After wandering down he see's a pile of clothes with a ball of fur on top a short ways off, walking over he looks down at the fur and sees the robes, he can't help but grin.]

Found the orange one, huh?

[Glares up at him and grumbles, curling up more in his shirt so he's actually hidden in his clothes.]

[Is it creepy that Herbert recognizes Bruce by the pile of clothes, which is a generic Ravenclaw uniform? Possibly, but hopefully the other bpy will be distracted by the whole being-a-dog thing.]

Bruce?

[Bruce perks a bit at the sound of a familiar voice and pokes his head out of his shirt collar, staring up at Herbert and giving a quiet bark.]
