Not that I wouldn't be happy to have a demonstration of what else you can do with your tongue. [casually] But we were talking about intoxicants, and how I could tailor them specifically to you. So I am, indeed, really asking you this. [leaning on his hand and staring at Cy as though utterly fascinated ... which he actually is]

[He's stammering just a bit, rather flushed from this who ordeal.]

[He snorts, fighting his lisp.]

Really? Do you have a fever then? [leaning forward with surprising swiftness, and resting the backs of his fingers lightly against Cy's forehead, as though feeling for his temperature]

You said you don't blush, but you're quite red in the face. [resting his fingers briefly against the younger man's cheek, first one, then the other] You don't feel as though you have a fever, though.

[Rhys has leaned in awfully close at this point, and his weird, indigo eyes crinkle up at the corners as he smiles.] Narrow dodge on a trip to the infirmary, then.

[Cy just eyes him down sternly for a moment before he jerks his head back.]

[He'll also tell you that he doesn't stammer.]

[The older man clearly isn't the least bit intimidated by the stern look, and while he draws his hand back, he maintains the uncomfortably close proximity, loving the practical aura of nervousness coming off the Rune professor.] I see. What about lisping? Do you do that?

I-I am aware of it. For the most part I've had it corrected, but it creepth up now and then.

[A beat.]

[He's trying to avoid stammering a bit.]

Seeing someone. Dating. Involved. Married, even, though I don't see a ring. [Rhys didn't actually go into this with any intention to get romantically involved with this amusingly nervous young man, but he has the feeling saying that's what he's doing might fluster Cy more, and this is just too fun to give up now.]
