Tavros sits alone in an out of the way place, curled up in the inlay of a large window. He leans his head against the glass and watches all the nothing going on in the air around the school. One hand is pulled into his robe where he has a pocket spelled to keep the baby snake he stole from the egg he hatched with Gamzee. It's likely the only good thing to come out of that holiday, but it feels like he ended up trading his best friend for it.

"Yeah, I was high," Gamzee admitted, scratching at his chin. "'Cause I was too scared to ask, if I weren't."

"I'm sorry." He felt bad, not having understood what Gamzee had really meant. Though he probably still would have been to scared to do anything about it, even if he had wanted to reciprocate. "It, uh... turned out okay anyway... right?"

Gamzee nodded, smiling again, and squeezing Tavros close. "It sure as motherfuckin' rainbows and moonshine did, bro."
