The best party ever

WHAT: Bro has thrown a surprise party for Murdoc in his office and invited everyone.

[Having a boyfriend whose birthday is on Valentine's day is beautiful. It's beautiful and Murdoc definitely doesn't understand why. But to Bro, it's beautiful. Because it means that when he throws Murdoc a surprise party, he can get away with using the most horrendous pink decorations that he possibly can. Of course, they're not all pink. Some are purple! The shade of purple that Murdoc likes the most. There are hearts hanging from the ceiling and there's a giant poster that says 'Happy Birthday Murman' hanging on the wall. In the corner there is a playpen set up for anyone who might have decided to bring their snakes. It was a spur of the moment decision and he isn't quite sure how it's going to work out, but hey. At least the snakes have somewhere to play.

But the most standout thing in the room has gotta be a cake. Bro went all out and made a lifesized cake for the occasion. It's chocolate, and it's as tall as a goddamn person. It... looks special, though. It's kind of lopsided, and the icing's thickness is sporadic. And it looks like he might've ran out of icing towards the bottom, because it's definitely not as delicious as the top.

Overall, it could have turned out worse. It does look like it could fall over at any moment, though.

And who even really knows how it tastes.

That isn't the point though! The point is everything is beautiful and it's time for the best party you ever did see.]

[Bro can at least tell that Murdoc isn't the happiest about it, but he's grateful he isn't outright bitching about it. That's a relief, to say the least. He's a little surprised when Murdoc steps close and kisses his cheek, but his lips quirk up into a smile and he tilts his head so that he can press their lips together for a moment before pulling away.]

You're full of surprises today. I'm glad you don't mind it though. I figured it'd be pretty fun, and everybody deserves a day to be the center of attention. If they can take their eyes off my magnificent thatch cake anyway.

[In this moment? He doesn't need to be told all of that. Words can only get you so far, but it's actions that speak louder than anything. And right now, Murdoc's actions are saying more than his mouth ever could- not only because his mouth tends to screw things up for him. Really though, Bro can feel it. He knows how Murdoc feels about him, and he's trying to express all of it wordlessly too, by kissing him intensely and just as passionately as he's being kissed. It's times like this that he's at his happiest, when they're both able to communicate simply through action. When the feelings are raw and unhindered, and when neither of them care about what the other thinks.

The hands in his hair earn a moan, and it doesn't take much to encourage him to move along with Murdoc. He knows exactly where they're going, and he's more than ready for it. It's been too long, and he's more than ready to take this step again and open himself up to Murdoc once more. Now he really feels like they're equals and that Murdoc doesn't think himself as superior. And above all that, he's just fucking horny. He hasn't gotten laid in what feels like years. It's time to fix that.

So he allows himself to be pulled to the bed, letting his hands roam and explore as his tongue does the same in Murdoc's mouth, moaning and nipping every so often just to make it all the better.]

[For once, this isn't a problem caused entirely by Murdoc being a bad father. So, as bad as he feels for Eridan he doesn't feel like bringing attention to his sulking will make the poor thing feel better. It's been a hard year, he deserves a hair ruffle. Yup. There we go.

He smiles at him before handing him the wrapped present. What's under the wrapping is a very rare and comprehensive guide to the underground nautical military battles between Irish and Scottish wizards and Dark wizards from Russia. There's even a sampling of the Loch Ness monster's scales in it. The book is so thick he wonders if Eridan can even lift it.]

It might as well be, I suppose. I can't think of anyone who would enjoy it more.

That sounds.. [Weird.] Fascinatin'. Do they taste the same as hand made cakes?

I wasn't aware you were interested in makin' amends. I thought you were more interested in botherin' me for your own amusement.

[Despite himself, he lets out a soft laugh.] The history teacher might've appreciated it.

Absolutely not. [He swills his glass around, letting it combine before taking a long sip of it. Yes, perfect.]

I suspected he'd been makin' a cake. He had frosting all over himself at one point. Now that I know, it seems quite obvious.

[For someone so egotistical he hadn't expected anyone to give this much of a crap.]

[Good, good. Eridan doesn't like it whenever his sulking and stuff is brought up. He doesn't like him pointing out his flaws and things, so it's really for the best. Aaand that hair ruffle is met with a quick fix of his hair, you know, a lazy run through it so it slicked back. He's lazy.

It isn't until he realizes that the book is in fact for him that he holds his hands out to try to take it, only to almost fall because oh god is this fucking book heavy as hell. Thankfully thankfully though, it's not heavy enough where he'll just topple all the way, he's still able to hold himself up.]

[But to say he isn't excited to have the present is an understatement. He tore open the packing as he tried to juggle the book, almost droppin it, but thankfully not actually doing that. Whoops.

And when he realizes what the hell he was just given, his face lights up. Holy shiiiit. All that he can really muster right now is a gasp and a small whisper. Eep.

[It's not so much pointing out his flaws as it is fussing over him because he worries about him all the goddamn time. He's never quite sure how Eridan feels, particularly in regards to him, but he hopes the present will help.

He laughs lightly as Eridan takes the book and folds his arms over his chest.]

Might be time to start liftin' weights or you'll never get through it all.

[He remembers when Eridan was as big as that damn book, probably as heavy as it too. Chubby little shit.

He smiles a little wider at Eridan's reaction, trying not to reach out and ruffle his hair again. That will get annoying...]

[It's all in Eridan's head, really. He knows deep inside he shouldn't even be thinking that way, buuut... what is to stop him, really? Just like what's stopping him from actually telling and showing how he feels around his dad? What are emotions why would we share them.

But the present does help, it does a lot, even though Eridan's slightly struggling with it, he's stable enough to where it wont fall now that he's shifted it in his arms.]

No kiddin', especially if I want to read it somewhere other than my dorm.

[Now right about now he actually does want to give Murdoc a hug, but that would require him to either drop the book or try to awkwardly hug him while its in his arms and that... would probably end in the book smashing into his feet.

[Murdoc could stand to be a little happier, but he feels reserved about showing his excitement. He's not sure why...it just feels strange to feel so happy over this.

He leans into the kiss, but he isn't satisfied by it.]

I'm not the only one. [He gives him a knowing look.] If they've got their eyes on that, they won't mind if I do this.. [He's leaning in for another one of those kisses.]

Who knows? Bro's just full of surprises. [Just the slightest emphasis on "Bro." He may be Dirk's father, but Dirk isn't really ready to accept him in that role.]

[Murdoc knows how much weight there is in actions. Particularly know when every move either of them makes just feels good and right and like they both know exactly what to do to express exactly how they feel. Yet, he's felt so guilty these past few weeks, he feels like Dirk deserves to hear every sincere and pleasant thought he's ever had about him. But they'd be here all day if he even tried. Perhaps in that sense, actions are a better way of expressing emotions. At least for now. When they're done? He's going to gush at him while engaging in his favourite kind of talk- pillow talk.

He trails his hands through his hair, humming and pulling away to kiss his nose and meet his eyes for a moment before he nudges him backward onto the bed. He presses a knee on the bed so he can begin to straddle him. He grins down at him, becoming increasingly excited about the fact that this is actually happening.

Leaning in, he presses a kiss to his forehead and grinds down gently, moving to mutter into his ear.]

I almost forgot how absolutely gorgeous you look when we're about to fuck.
