WHO: Karkat and Dave
TONE: Argumentitive and possibly parental?
RATING: PG-13 for language
WHEN: 10th
WHERE: 4th year boys dorm, Gryffendor
WHAT: Karkat and Dave have to raise a snake egg.
STATUS: Ongoing
Karkat hovers over his bedside table, where he has the snake egg in a small basket with a heating charm on it. Staring at it with his natural scowl to make sure that it's fine and growing.
Then he huffs as he remembers who he's paired up to raise the egg with. That dumbass, why did he even agree to it in the first place? Everything about that ...well... any Strider is irritating and worthy of causing a spleen to explode in irritation. And if anyone wasn't suited to looking after something it would be Dave. So WHY did he end up working with him.
Oh, that's right. He didn't want to do it alone. At least with Dave, if something goes wrong he can yell at him for it.

"No, what I am doing is taking this stupid task seriously and making sure that the egg is at the right temperature and safe. Because I have no intention of being a lazy shit stain just assuming it's all just going to work out."
He checks on the egg one last time before sitting on his bed an a slightly dramatic way, in an attempt to prove to Dave that he was done checking on the egg and had no intention of bothering it for a while.
