Tony continues to sit on the floor. Sherlock quietly stormed off maybe about an hour or so ago, could have been more or less honestly. Tony had stopped paying attention to time, he was too busy going over the conversation in his head, while absently cupping his jaw where Sherlock's fist solidly connected.

He knew it ended in his fault, but he also knew that while he also started it, Sherlock had provoked him in places too. So this time at least he could easily say it wasn't just his fault.

After a little while longer, Tony just let himself drop back onto the floor and stared up at the roof. He contemplates going to find Sherlock, maybe he should try and apologise after all. Wait, no, not yet. Tony might not be wound up about it any more, but Tony's noticed Sherlock tends to hold onto things. His licks his lips contemplatively then winces, his jaw starting to really throb now. Which causes Tony to sit up suddenly to start searching for a mirror, he's sure that it's already started to bruise, but he wants to make sure before sneaking off to the hospital so he can hide it.

Which for him is a big change.

"Owning up to it, maybe even confessing it. It's not that easy - not everyone's a confident wannabe playboy like you, you know," he answered with a small smile, getting the towel soaked again before pressing it back to Tony's bruise.

He does look at Bruce this time.

"Uh, hmm. Yeah. Well, putting it that way, yeah. The whole confidence thing."

Tony worries at his lip, watching his smile.

"Hey Bruce?"

Taking a moment to look at the bruise again, he hums, "Hmm?"

"Well we've... And there's ..."

He sits there for a second, looking like he's trying to really think about what he's going to say.

"Wow, this is really... Awkward and hard. It's ju- Actually, it's nothing. Never mind. How's the Bruise?"

An eyebrow twitches in annoyance. This is Bruce, it's never hard to talk to him. Tony's always been able to tell him everything, so why was it so hard for him to say that he liked him, wanted to kiss him again, even hold hands and do the dating thing.

He was starting to get really annoyed about being a teenager right now.

Raising a brow, Bruce didn't comment on Tony's fumbling with words and instead examined the receding bruise. "... It's looking better. This should seep through the skin and help the cells heal faster but if you put some ice on it for a few minutes before you go to bed, you should be all cleared up by tomorrow."

"You've gotten really good at managing bruises now. Well not really surprising with Kujo underneath everything and all. I probably wouldn't do anything about it. I'm always getting myself hurt all the time anyway, no one would be surprised."

His words are dismissive and half mumbled, as if he's trying to over compensate for his fumble with rambling. And he's just wishing he could beat his 'genius' head against a wall right now for it too.

"That's because you're an idiot when it comes to personal health and everyone knows it," he answered with a snort, pressing the towel to Tony's jaw again for a few minutes until he deems it enough. "What was the charm for freezing water again?"

"Idiot, is a bit harsh, don't you think? And most things that happen to me are superficial. So it's not like it's ever a big deal."

When Bruce pulls the cloth away again for the final time, Tony rolls his jaw and then touches where he was hit, he looks pleased as it doesn't hurt to touch it.

"Glacius, with a swirl and a tap"

Bruce stood again, putting the towel and potion bottle away before grabbing the glass of water he kept by his bed. Casting the spell, he handed the glass with the lump of ice at the base over to Tony. "Hold that over the bruise until the ice melts, okay?"

Tony takes the glass then looks at it for a long moment.

"I'll develop hypothermia before this melts completely. You know that right?"

He licks along his teeth as he eyes the ice again before tentatively putting it against his chin, giving a soft hiss at how cold it was.

"You going to talk to Sherlock?"

"Don't be ridiculous."

Making sure Tony had the entire bruise covered, Bruce shook his head. "No, I don't think so. I might beat the crap out of him if I do right now. Besides, it was an argument between the two of you. You should talk to him instead."

"He didn't hit me for no reason, why would you even beat him up for?"

Tony sucks at his teeth.

"Or I could act like it never happened."

"Emotional retard that you are," he sighed, shaking his head. "Whatever, so long as this doesn't become a regular thing, otherwise I swear I'm putting you both in detention cleaning potion pots for Professor Rhydderch or something."

He pulls a face at being called an emotional retard.

"Well I'm not exactly hoping he'll hit me again, he really knows what he's doing. It's not as fun as you think. And come on, really, I'd rather have detention with... Well anyone else really."

"You'd rather detention with professor Donoghue?"

"Yeah, I think it's the detention part I'm mostly taking issue with here."

He pulls the ice away a little, as he's feeling his face start to go numb.

Bruce reached up to poke at Tony's jaw gently. "How's that feel?"

He tilts his jaw up for Bruce.

"Feel's like you're poking my numb jaw."

He grins a little at this.

Rolling his eyes, Bruce got up. "Whatever. I'm gonna go take a shower, I'll see you later."

"Wait, really?"

Tony answered without thinking. Admittedly he really didn't want Bruce to go, but he really had no reason to keep him in the room. Then as if he had never spoke or sounded a little deflated when he had spoke, Tony stands.

"Uh, yeah. See you tonight."

And he heads to the end of his bed and starts to rummage around in his trunk.

Bruce smiled and ruffled Tony's hair. "Don't do anything stupid for the next fifteen minutes, think you can manage that?" he asked with amusement, turning away to get his towel and toiletries.

"Hey, even I can stay out of trouble for 15 minutes."

He frowns at him as he fixes up his hair, and watches him collect his things.

"Liar."

Winking, Bruce snorted and turned away, leaving the room.

Tony gives him a a smile almost like that of a praised puppy. Then shakes his head upon realising what he was doing, and heads for his bed. Flopping onto it and throws his legs over the engine looking a little uncomfortable, but he doesn't shift. Putting the ice back to his chin.

"Pull it together, Stark."
