[Murdoc is very well aware of how lucky he is to have Dolores. He wouldn't have bothered to approach Rhys at all if he didn't. Since meeting her he's been utterly blown away by her kindess and patience. She's been a strong presence in his life and a huge help to him. He really isn't used to making connections like that, not so quickly. He doesn't know how to handle it properly, so he doesn't really know how to deal with the idea of someone taking her away.
