Well, he certainly wasn't expecting such a strong reaction. But he's not going to question it much at first- he's attributing it to the fact that he just cockblocked Murdoc. If the situation were reversed, he would feel a little irritated too. He's sure that Murdoc will get over it, though. Especially when they actually get to watching stuff. As far as he knows, Murdoc didn't hate the movie when they went. He knew it isn't Murdoc's taste exactly, but he still thought maybe they had a decent time.

"It's my laptop," he says in response to Murdoc's question as he opens it, the screen flickering to life as it loads up. It reaches the 'Oh hell no' screen after a few seconds, and he taps the password in. "Y'know how I've been makin' all these references that you never get? Well I'm about to fix that. I have a shitton of movies on this thing."

If he sounds excited, it's because he is. He's wanted to show Murdoc this stuff for a long while. He's learned so much about Purebloodedness from Murdoc, it makes him eager to help Murdoc learn more about Muggles. And it's just a cheesy thing to do with him and he just thinks it'll overall be a fun thing.
