New Year Assemble!

WHAT: Thor wanted their friends together, Tony didn't want to be alone bringing in the New Year.

On New Years Eve, Jarvis has the living room set up for guests with chairs and pillows about with a table off to one side with various chips, soft drinks, and sweets. Music playing from a stereo in the corner.

Come dinner time the dinning room table is full of food and drink to enjoy.

Depending on when people show up, Tony can be found either in the garage messing with his kit car, or in the living room, eyeing off the snacks.

[Holds up one arm with the blanket, offering for Tony to join him under it.] C'mere.

Pity you'll never get to laugh.

[He watches him offer to share the blanket.]

I get the idea you're not going to let me just try to be all brave and manly, are you?

My arm is getting tired, get in here already.

[Chuckles at him then slips in under the blanket.]

Hmm, what are you wearing?

[Sniffs at him.]

[Drops arm on Tony's shoulder and snorts.]

Eau de Banner. Nothing, whenever I try cologne I sneeze.

[Snuggles into him.]

Hm. Well, you're smelling good tonight. Really, it's a good smell.

[greenmoonrising]

[Flushes a bit and ducks head.]

What are you, me? Or am I emitting pheromones or something tonight? [Scoffs.]

[arrogantalloy]

[Smirks.]

Or, it could be out in the fresh air of the balcony I can smell you better than when I'm sleeping on you in our dorm of man-stink and dubious scientific odours.

[greenmoonrising]

You mean the permanent reek of teen spirit? [Snorts.]

[arrogantalloy]

It's our dorm room. It's teen dissonance we inhale.

[Chuckles.]

When Sherlock hasn't found a dead animal to experiment on, yeah.

[arrogantalloy]

Yeah, the room does tend to smell worse when he does that.

[He stays comfortable and warm for a moment.]

Oh. Present, you have one, well it's more some, I just put it all in one box...

Oh good, because I've got something for you too. It's in my bag though.

[arrogantalloy]

Really? you did? I mean, I wasn't really expecting anything. I mean, it's not like I need anything, I don't think? But yeah, the box on the chair behind us. It's yours.

[Cranes head around to look at the box and reaches for it, pulling it over and setting it on his lap.]

What'd you get? [Blinks, sniffing at the box and fingers tracing over the wrapping.]

[arrogantalloy]

[The box has a vague offering of different spells, all of them gentle and fragrant.]

What did I get? Or what did I get you? Because if its the last one, then that's the point of you opening the box really.

[In the box is a new yoga mat in green, a box of wind chimes and a MoodMist Diffuser and all available fragrances to go with it. He wasn't sure which would be the best fragrances, so he got one of each.]

[Snorts and carefully unwraps the box, folding up the wrapping paper and setting it aside before lifting the lid.

And staring.

Staring.

Staring for a long time really.]

[arrogantalloy]

[Watches him staring, then scratches the back of his head feeling a little uncomfortable. Which causes him to ramble.]

Well, I was going to get stuff to help keep you calm. You know to get around what happened a month or so ago. And well, to keep generally just calm and easy going... Not that you aren't normally, just you know in case you're feeling more stressed than normal, like when Sherlock and I are bored at the same time or something, and I was in the store and they had all these smells and well I had no idea what's the most calming and what just smells nice.

So...

I bought it all.

[greenmoonrising]

[Runs a hand over boxes of scents and then over the yoga mat, still quiet.]

[arrogantalloy]

If.

If you don't like them, I can take them back and get you something else? I just thought it might be good? But I guess I didn't, huh? Yeah I'll just take them back, find you something else.

[He starts to reach for the box.]

[greenmoonrising]

[Shakes head and hugs box to himself.]

No, it's-

It's great.

[arrogantalloy]

Really? You actually do like it? But you're, quiet...

[greenmoonrising]

I didn't expect you to be so... [Thinks on a word.] ... Thoughtful. Or thorough. I mean, I know you can be considerate but I wasn't expecting this much.

[Smiles a bit when he touches the yoga mat.] Guess I need to take up yoga then?

[arrogantalloy]

It's Christmas, that's the time to be thoughtful, isn't it?

[Grins and shifts a little closer.]

Well you don't have to take it up. I mean when I saw it I just thought of you sitting cross legged hands on your knees, chanting 'inner peace'. Really it's your call.

I guess I can do some meditation on it at least.

[Ducks head and smiles up at him.]
