New Year Assemble!

WHAT: Thor wanted their friends together, Tony didn't want to be alone bringing in the New Year.

On New Years Eve, Jarvis has the living room set up for guests with chairs and pillows about with a table off to one side with various chips, soft drinks, and sweets. Music playing from a stereo in the corner.

Come dinner time the dinning room table is full of food and drink to enjoy.

Depending on when people show up, Tony can be found either in the garage messing with his kit car, or in the living room, eyeing off the snacks.

[Natasha is sitting upside down on the couch while watching a foreign film with subtitles. She's not too bored since she has a plate of snacks to keep her entertained.]

[Tony flops onto the couch from the arm of the chair, rolling his head to look at the TV and steals some of her snacks.]

Why a foreign film?

I like learning about languages, and I wasn't sure which remote to use.

[She hits his hand.]

Ow, hey. Slapping's rude.

[He goes for the plate again.]

Besides, you just match the remote to the style of the equipment, it's not that hard, I'm sure even Steve could figure it out. What is this even about?

If I can't touch your stuff, you can't touch my stuff.

[Moves it out of his reach.]

We have one remote, so I'm not used to it. It's some sort of thriller.

[arrogantalloy]

Yeah, because you've listened to that rule ever.

[He pouts at her as she moves the plate away then shrugs. Looking back at the screen.]

Looks kind of boring to me. And don't you think we have enough thrills in our lives to not need it in another language?

I may have once during first year.

Hardly, We go to school, we play sports, do homework and hang out with friends.

Summer camp tried to possess us, mistletoe forced us to make out with random people... Mostly, Bruce and Steve became girls, and some of us became adults or children.

That's not exactly Holly Oaks, but it's still thrilling.

Okay, I'll give you the turning in to an adult thing. I'm currently trying to forget that though. We should just memory charm the month away.

I don't know, some of it was kind of interesting.

Besides, the month hasn't been all bad, I mean, there was Christmas. Which you should look under the tree. Unless you've already scoped it out?

[Under the tree are four boxes with her name on each of them. Containing this outfit (The coat in one box, the dress and stockings in another, and the shoes in the las one) and this hat in a box of it's own. however in white, not black.]

Christmas involves that awkward dance, you don't even know about that yet.

Under the tree? [She puts the plate on his lap and rolls off the couch.]

Not the kind of thrill I've ever been after.

[Tony looks at the plate, shrugs and gets comfortable and starts to eat while watching her.]

You know how I went with Clint because I owed him? Let's just say it got complicated.

[She picks up the boxes with her name on the tag and goes back to sit on the couch again.]

Oh? Did it now?

[He nudges her arm with his elbow when she sits back down next to him again.]

So, that would be why he asked if you were going then didn't show up tonight?

Yes to both. Everything was going fine and then he opened his big mouth and told me that he likes me.

[She starts ripping off the paper because presents are meant to be opened that way.]

[He chuckles at her.]

He followed you like a puppy, how were you even surprised?

[He leans back a bit just so he can watch her open up what he got her.]

Because I thought he had better things on his mind, like aiming at targets. I thought I heard him wrong, apparently not.

[She opens the hat box first and let's out a happy cry.]

You certainly have taste, let me tell you that.

[arrogantalloy]

He's a boy, you're a girl. He was aiming for a target alright.

[He grins at her cry.]

Have you been reading issues of Witch Weekly? I can't believe you said something so cheesy.

[She gives him a side hug and continues opening.]

I just listen to a lot of muggle television.

[He smirks, and gives her a vague hug in return.]

You better wear it, it took Jarvis and I ages to find something that would work for you.

[Thor is going to thump onto the couch next to her.]

What are we watching?

A thriller, it's fairly good from what I can tell.

A thriller? Fantastic! I love movies with a good scare to them! [Even if it means he'll be up all night for weeks guarding the door.] What have I missed?

Well so far, there's a body found in a closet and a man having an affair.

[Thor cocks his head to the side, staring at the screen.]

That sounds absolutely terrifying. [And now he's hooked, going zombie eyed at the screen.] Is that his wife or his mistress?
