At The Crossroads A Second Time
WHO: James Moriarty & Snow
TONE: Tense
RATING: G
WHEN: Sometime after the Quidditch Match
WHERE: The Greenhouse
WHAT: Moriarty has a few questions because he's curious.
STATUS: [ONGOING]
[Moriarty didn't have Inquisitor Snow as a professor, but he had seen him around quite a few times. Despite the lack of familiarty with the other, he strolled right into the greenhouse like he owned the place, dark eyes observed everything. His hands were stuffed in his pockets as he came across who he was looking for.]
Are you fond of tea, Inquisitor Snow? Recently, I tried a blend I bought, a lovely jasmine rose tea.
[He stops by the other, eyes curious.]

You came all the way to ask me about my tea preferences, did you?
[He's the most skeptical.]
no subject
Not at all, that would be rather mundane of me, I wanted to offer a friendly hello, you did work with my dad a couple times. I've heard a little about you.
[He holds his hand out with a smile.]
Jim, Jim Moriarty. Jerrold Moriarty's son?
[ Someone isn't afraid of the big bad wolf.]
no subject
I know of him, yes. So now that those pleasantries are out of the way, let's stop beating around the bush, shall we?
no subject
I've always been one for pleasantries. But if you insist!
You've asked the student body quite a few questions, even accused quite a few people of wrong doing. I want to ask you a few questions, I'm sure you wouldn't mind. Would you?
[Cue the curious headtilt.]
Unless of course you're hiding something which I would never accuse you of. But I have to say it is a bit strange: you being here to protect us and of course your name... yet somehow things pertaining to dark magic keep happening. Isn't that odd?
no subject
Dark magic was happening long before I arrived. If you don't recall, there was an incident last year involving an unforgivable curse. I obviously wasn't here for that. The Halloween incident is the first of such events to happen under my authority. Odd, yes. But it just means the culprit hasn't been found yet.

He shakes his head with the displeasure of a kid who's just been denied his favourite toy.]
Oh no, I wasn't accusing you of being the culprit -- let's not be boring.
[He pulls a face, mocking the other's defensiveness.]
No, I don't think you're the culprit or I would not be here alone with you -- I'm not an imbecile, no, no.
I just find it curious - as someone who places their faith in the ministry, bless you and bless my father for all your hard work. You're sort of a hero, really - that something like this could happen right under your nose!
[Pristine eyebrows knit together in what looks like anger and he brings his left hand up to roll his wrist in some odd gesture.]
It worries me, you see.
[It upset his boo and he doesn't like when other things upset his boo. Only he is allowed to upset his boo.]
