My family is not short of money, so I believe it is ridiculous.

No, not Steve. Though that is a good idea. Perhaps I should buy him something as well..

You didn't have to, who else are you going to buy for in a candy shop? Because I like to encourage romance where I can.

You don't even date. [He scowls at the candy so he doesn't have to look at Tony.] I could buy for a lot of people.

Taking girls out to lunch is a date. I date it's just nothing exclusive.

Then it's not a big deal if I help you out then, is it?

You are boring and I do not want your advice.

I want to be exclusive. You do not know how.

Boring? Me? Really? Huh. That's a new one. Really? I'm boring? Because normally that never comes up in conversation involving me.

I don't know how to make a 13 tier chocolate cake, either. But I know the fundamentals behind it.

People are too polite to tell you, clearly. Or they are boring themselves, perhaps. In any case, I have no interest in your ramblings about your coolness.

If you told someone else how to make such a delicious thing when they had no idea how to you would both be destined for failure.

[Tony gives him a look as he rolls his eyes. One of the few times he's ever grown bored of a conversation between them. Mostly because he knows he's right.]

You know I could have given you advice and been gone by now. You know this right? I'm starting to think you only keep me around to argue with me. And if that's true, you're being me a sugar quill, because I want something more out of this relationship.

I already told you I do not want your advice so this conversation is both pointless and a waste of both of our times. I will be fine, I know what I am doing.

Buy yourself a sugar quill, Stark.

[arrogantalloy]

Yeah, of course you know what you're doing. That's why you're standing here looking like everything is beyond you.

This is a loveless, loveless relationship.

[He smirks as he leans around Thor to pick up a chocolate frog box then a sugar quill.]

Because I am deep in thought! There is a lot to consider here. It is not as if I am entirely bewildered by the concept of buying food for another person.

[He scowls as he leans.] Of course there is no love.

Should I feel insulted that you'll trust anyone one and everyone with advice, but I'm apparently you're friend and you're not going to listen to my thoughts on what chocolates to get a girl?

[Tony tries to keep his face normal, but he does find this little fact kind of irritating, bothersome. Makes him feel itchy even.]

And if you bought me candy, there'd be love.

[brothor]

[Thor scowls at the chocolates for a long moment, sighing loudly. He knows damn well he's being stubborn and he knows right now he could really use a hand. So reluctantly, he glances over at Tony.]

Fine. Offer me your suggestions! The moment I am unsatisfied with your help I shall smack you.

I do not want your love.

[arrogantalloy]

Yeah yeah, hit me if you don't like me, fine. Who's it for? So I can at least have a base line fore this.

Of course you do, just not in a holding hands, kissing under the stars way. I'm onto you.

[brothor]

Then we are in agreeance. [He rubs at his neck awkwardly.] Usagi Tsukino. She's in Hufflepuff.

[arrogantalloy]

Tsukino? You sly dog, she's a cute one alright. Little clumsy, but cute.

[He grins at him, not at all being a teasing dick for once. But no one's surprised he knows about her.]

I'd say go for something simple, she's a muggle born, right? Some of the stuff could just be crazy and too much for her, but muggle candy. Makes it look like you pay attention.

[brothor]

She is beautiful.

[He nods to himself, trying not to let anything more than that slip.]

She is. [He nods again, staring down at the rows of candy in confusion.]

What is considered normal...?

Well anything that pops, jumps, or dances. They're right out. Just plain chocolates, with nougat or strawberry goo, fudge. Ribbon candy is good too.

[He reaches out and grabs a good sized lollipop and holds it out to Thor.]

Cute girls, and suckers are always a great combination too.

[brothor]

Muggle candy does not dance? How do they amuse themselves at parties? The food tables must be terribly dull to behold.

Chocolates. [He nods at the chocolate, scanning it with his eyes as he ponders which looks best.] Fudge should suit quite nicely.

[He waves Tony off as he holds out the lollipop.] No, Stark.

Underage drinking and making out, mostly from what I can tell.

I've got a feeling no one could ever go wrong with fudge, and the smoother the better.

[Shrugging his face, he puts the lollipop back.]

Suit yourself, I'm only here to help.

[brothor]

Really? How terribly boring. Dancing sweets are far more entertaining.

[He strokes his chin before reaching out for the nicest box of mixed flavours, inspecting it carefully.]

Yeah, if you ask me both have a definitely entertainment factors, just. In different ways.

[Leaning on the confection stand, Tony watches Thor make his choice.]
