WHAT: Mabel got into trouble for questioning Snow and Dipper got into trouble for defending her. Emergency twin and friends meeting commences!

[Detention for a month and banned from the library bar classwork? This had to have been the most trouble Dipper had ever been in, Muggle schooling experience included. He paced around the courtyard, running his hands through his hair in frustration. Why would the Ministry be going to these lengths to investigate things? It didn't make any sense. He was just as frustrated as anyone else who had had a shadow jeering at them for two or three days and this didn't make things any better.

He let out a loud groan of annoyance before he sat down on the edge of the fountain to wait for Mabel.]

This doesn't make any sense!

[You'd better believe Mabel scurried over to the courtyard as fast as she could. Nothing about this made sense, especially the fact her brother was in worse trouble than she was just for defending her. As she made herself down to the fountain, she stops short and waves her arms around.]

How in the heck did you get in worse trouble than I did?! There's no way that should have even happened!! I mean, I was about to be alright with getting detention because of what I did, but that's not fair at all!

[Snow is there. Watching from the shadows. He's waiting for one of them to say something that's really deserving of punishment. So until then, you won't know he's here.]

I have no idea! [He threw his hands up in frustration when she came over, setting them on top of his head before he dipped it a little. He then looked up at her, an unsure look on his face. He didn't regret stepping in though, even if it meant being banned from the library outside of class. She was his sister.] I've never been in this much trouble before, Mabel! Never!

I know I've gotten in trouble before, but... it hasn't ever been this bad, has it?

[She takes a moment to sit down next to him, crossing her arms over her lap. She really was glad to know that he was there for her, or else she probably would have kept on going.]

At least I've got nothing to hide? I'm innocent if he tries thinking that I had anything to do with that.

We both haven't got anything to hide. I mean if I was responsible I probably wouldn't have had to deal with that shadow thing in theory, right?

[He shifts closer and puts an arm around her, rubbing her shoulder.]

I mean if he's going to be a teacher he should be willing to listen to his students, not get all huffy with us.

[Norman had seen the whole mess on the journals and - okay maybe he probably should have kept his nose out of it, but he was pretty concerned. Snow attacking the twins was ridiculous. He reminded him a little too much of the twisted sort of justice that came from all the muggle schools on tv.]

[Also who takes away library privileges? That was insane.]

[So, Norman cautiously mosied his way over to the courtyard.]

You couldn't help yourself, though. It seems like no one could! But you're right, he's being incredibly rude, and he should at least be listening!

[She leans against him a bit, shaking her head.]

I'm sorry you ended up with so much time. I sort of wish that you could switch it with mine.

[She sighs, but her eyes catch Norman, waving to him.]

Hi Norman!

No no, it's okay. I mean I'd rather it be me than you anyway. But who ever heard about taking away someone's library privileges? I guess since I'm not a third year he can't take Hogsmeade away so he needs another option.

[When she says Norman's name, he looks up, giving his own wave.]

Hey, man.

[He gives them both a little wave.]

Hey. You guys okay? What the heck was all that about.

[mabelangelo]

That's just being cruel. At least he didn't say anything about any of us not being able to like check out books or anything for you, right?

[With a sigh, Mabel shrugs hard at Norman's question, moving her arms back down over her lap. Gosh was she annoyed at this.]

I'm alright, other than getting detention and everything else. But... I really don't know! I was just trying to tell him to maybe lighten up a bit without actually saying it because I didn't want to get into more trouble than I already have, but he just kept on being rude about it.

[Dipper on the other hand gave a small sigh and ran his fingers through the hair at the side of his head again, brown locks already messed up from before Mabel got there.]

And I just stepped in to apologize for her. I really don't understand how that warrants detention for a month and library privileges revoked.

I dunno. It seems like this guy goes around starting trouble. I've seen some of his posts and none of it really looks that great. He's like a big bully. He reminds me a lot of the really mean teachers I had back in Bury St. Edmunds.

[He shrugs.]

I don't mind checking out things for you.

[mabelangelo]

A big, dumb, stupid bully! [Uh oh, Mabel's puffing and huffing as she crosses her arms. ] I can't believe they're letting him teach here if he's doing a lot of that stuff!

[She's calming down a little though, even if she's still huffed up and in a moment of actually being really annoyed again.]

And I'd be willing to do that, too, obviously.

[He gives them both a small smile, nodding.]

Thanks, but you guys shouldn't get yourselves into trouble because of me. Undermining authority isn't on my to do list, even if it is Professor Snow's authority.
