And I'm gonna drown the ocean.
Who: Murdoc and Moriarty
Tone: Uncomfortable
Rating: T for TEEN idk
When: A couple days after writing him that horrid paper
Where: Murdoc's kawaii office
What: Moriarty wants to know more aboutdefense against the dark arts.
It had been a long tedious day for one James Moriarty. He had always been one to think outside the box so of course the idea presented itself rather early in his head. If you want to learn about something, why not learn its weaknesses, he saw it as a bit of a reverse construction. Perhaps he could even learn more about the dark arts through manipulation of someone that actually knew what they were talking about. It was risky. True! -- He'd have to be careful about how he went about it, but he had just the plan.
So there he was, outside his professor's office. A knock signaled his presence and he couldn't help but lean back on his heels as he wondered idly if this would be boring or entertaining.

He quirks an eyebrow at the door, setting down his quill and using his wand to open the door for Moriarty. When the door opens and he notices who it is waiting to enter, he can't help scowling a little at him. He had been very unimpressed with the work the younger man had submitted, obviously. So Moriarty is really the last person he wants or expects to see.
"Can I help you, Moriarty?" He asks, keeping his eyebrow raised as he waits for a response.

He shrugs, searching for the words he wants to use. "I know it's, well, imprudent of me to ask this after that paper and if you are not comfortable with it I will understand -- I would be rather interested in some sort of advanced tutoring in Defense Against The Dark Arts. My marks in your class are generally tasteful, so academically I wouldn't think it would be a problem..."

His tone is so very dry. He might have only been a professor for seven months, but he's heard his share of seemingly genuine apologies and they honestly fail to impress him. Not that they ever did, he supposes. Still, there's some pleasure it the fact that Moriarty is admitting it so freely, even if he isn't sure he believes what he's saying.
He gives Moriarty a curious look as he speaks before addressing him. "Tutorin'? Why don't you take a seat?" He nods toward the chair in front of his desk.

"Would that be a problem?"
no subject
"Not a problem, no. I'm sure I could find the time to answer questions if you can find the time to ask them. Did you have somethin' in particular on your mind?"
