[There were two bowls, one numbering from 1-7 and one with pairs of numbers. People could grab from the first bowl if they already had a date, and from both bowls if they had none! It was fool proof (at least to Georgia)!

If all went as planned, everyone in the room would have a Valentine by the time they left! Or glandular fever.]

It's not that kind of party, idiot. [Even as he says the word, his tone isn't snappish at all, just a little sour if anything. Asking Jade out seemed to have done wonders for his blood pressure. He held up his own paper, number forward and ignorant that it read '3' also, considering he'd never looked at it.] They're supposed to be for the type of affection we're dealing with, like kissing and stuff.

[He blinks before bringing a hand up to rub the bridge of his nose with a small sigh.] Figures. Did you even read the list on her post?

Post? [Gamzee did actually read the list! He's long since forgotten it, though, or didn't get the connection with this party.] But it's cool, motherfucker, I know I'm not your best bro, you're just mine.

[He smiles, glancing down.] It's cool, I ain't gonna bug you about shit, don't worry.

[Karkat pauses a little, then crosses his arms a little over his chest as he glances away. He's always felt a little guilty that he never reciprocated Gamzee's best friending, especailly with the crush he had, but maybe it was time to return it.]

Nah. You're wrong there, fuckwit.

[A briefly hurt look crosses Gamzee's face, so quick it might have almost not even been there. Then he honks a small laugh.]

Well, okay, motherfucker, I can go find someone else to get my wordiage on with, it's cool. [He tucks his hands in the pockets of his purple hoody, obviously getting ready to start meandering around again.] I'll come speak at your sharp motherfuckin' self later, okay?

That wasn't what I meant, Gamzee. [He rubs his fingertips against his forehead.] What I meant was...you're my best friend too.

[Gamzee just stares, utterly gobsmacked.]

[What Gamzee doesn't get is why he said it at all. After all, Karkat isn't usually the type to say things just to make a brother feel better - that motherfucker is honest. It's one of the things the Slytherin really likes about him, actually. And now he's- does that mean-

Karkat will suddenly find himself the receipient of a very enthusiastic and enveloping hug, as Gamzee yanks him into a long-limbed embrace that gives no fucks not only for whoever might be watching, but also for whatever protests the Gryffindor might be uttering as the life is practically hugged out of him.]

[He should have been expecting it really, and he sort of was. The shorter boy struggled a little bit, but gave up in the end. When Gamzee decided he wanted to hug you, there was really no escape. It was like Eridan and his whining.

After a moment or so, he places his hands on the other's shoulders, rolling his eyes a little.]

Alright, alright. I get it.

[The taller boy grinned, nuzzling into Karkat's hair, then moved his body in that ridiculously flexible way he had so that he slid around behind Karkat, arms still around the smaller boy's shoulders, and pulled the Gryffindor back into his much taller frame, snuggling him close.]

I guess number three is for motherfuckin' best bro love.
