Oh, I dunno. Just the maniacally pleased looking double that you're sporting there, mate.

[ Raz gestured towards said double with a flick of his wrist, cocking an eyebrow at him before looking at one, then the other. After a moment of hesitation, he pushed away from the shelf, straightening and walking to the table proper. If this was going to be a thing, and it was just the two of them and this weird figment, then he was going to get up close and personal.

Had to figure out what was up, after all. ]

[The double snorted as Raz walked over, turning its attention to Dipper who worried the end of his quill. Raz could see it? For a moment there Dipper had been wondering if he was losing his mind. Seriously? You're jealous of this try hard? Though I guess it's not hard to be considering your confidence level and all, Dip. I mean I guess anyone that pathetic would be hard for even you to reach for.]

[ Raz's other eyebrow arched up to join the first at the comment that the shadow offered in response to his approach, his head tilting as he looked at him and simply stared for a moment. Yeah, he could see it. And he could hear it.

The thought of just walking away and leaving this be came to mind, but first of all? Even if he and Dipper weren't close, they still talked a lot and got along on some occasions. He wasn't about to leave him alone to deal with this... whatever it was.

Secondly? Wow, rude. Razputin Aquato did not take an insult lying down. ]

Don't really see why he'd have a reason to be jealous of anyone, honestly.

[The shadow stood from its seat as Dipper continued to sink into his chair with his hands over his face, cheeks burning and wishing he could just die right there. It was bad enough that the thing somehow existed in the first place but someone else knowing that he felt these things, that his inner thoughts were being voiced...it was really, really embarrassing, not to mention mortifying. He'd been content with putting up with it since nobody else could see it but now that Raz could...

Are we talking about the same person? Do you even know how much of a fail boat he is? I mean all you have to do is look at him.]

[ Raz shrugged, pulling a chair out to drop into it. Gremlin wormed his way around in the hood of his robes, appearing and then disappearing in a flash of bright color and wrinkly skin as he repositioned himself closer to Dipper than the shadow. Raz could feel the Mabel-made sweater rub against the back of his neck in the process, but he didn't take his eyes off the shadow. ]

Well, you could try to tell me how much of a 'fail boat' he is, but y'know what? Still wouldn't believe you, so hey.

[If he noticed the cat make its way over to him, Dipper didn't say anything. The double cocked an eyebrow haughtily before moving around the table, hovering behind the original as he draped himself over Dipper's shoulders, starting to pull at his face wit his fingers.

You really don't know him then, do you? You'd have realized he's only helping you to make himself feel better about himself ages ago if you knew what he really thought.]

[ Tipping himself back onto two legs so he could drop his own feet onto the table and cross his ankles, despite the risk of the librarian flipping a load on him, Raz crossed his arms over his stomach and simply looked up at the shadow for a long moment. Almost considering it, before his eyes dropped to Dipper. ]

You're that shitty part at the back of the psyche, weighed down by baggage and unease, that everybody has. And I mean everybody. It tells us awful things, and makes us feel like horrible people. But y'know what?

[ He grinned wide, head tipped to the side. ]

It's never true. 'cause Dipper here is a good guy. Kind of neurotic and a bit of a stickler, jeez, lighten up a bit, mate, but he's still pretty awesome. Even if, deep down, he feels like he might be bolstering himself up by helping his friends-- that's what friends do. You help each other, because you care about one another.

[The shadow frowns a little, fingers stilling their poking as Dipper looked up from his hands, surprise written over his face. He hadn't really thought they were friends...well, he only really knew Raz through Mabel and the handful of times they'd talked so he didn't know him that well.

But still...]

...You really think that?

Dipper, I don't spout shit just because I like to hear myself talk.

[ Raz arched both eyebrows at him, completely unfazed by the shadow's frown and Dipper's surprise. Maybe they weren't close friends, but Dipper had helped him more than once-- wasn't it right for him to repay the favor, as friends are wont to do? ]

We're not as close as we could be, but I still think you're my friend. Was I wrong?

[Really? Could've fooled me. Dipper reaches up to rub the back of his neck, completely ignoring the way the shadow leaned behind him, like a weight dragging him down. He glanced away before looking back at the other boy, shaking his head.]

N-no, I...I guess I just felt like I could never...I dunno.
