WHEN: Late October 20, into the wee hours of the 21st
WHERE: a remote part of school grounds with a clear view of the night sky
WHAT: a field trip, to observe the Orionid meteor shower! Mix, mingle, ask what that one funny-looking trail is, but more importantly, enjoy the show!
STATUS: Ongoing!

Thank goodness the weather held. It was a bit of a chilly night, so Constance had advised her students to dress warmly, and she'd made a quick arrangement for a keg of hot butterbeer to be delivered to the site for later on, along with hot chocolate and tea. But the sky was clear, and it would make for good observation weather.

She set up the rest of the telescopes and equipment, put up a few defensive charms up - mostly against any animals that might disturb the site, but also against any humans who might try to tamper with it - and back to campus.

Once it was time, she gathered up her group, and began to head out. Once they arrived, she passed around a set of several past showers, pointing out what to look for.

Now to wait for the show.

Glancing up at her, he shrugs one shoulder. "Vhat, Hy ken't dress nizely in my free time? Iz dot a crime?"

"No. But consider this your first and only warning that I will not tolerate any shenanigans from you. If I see you bothering another student, I will send you back to Gryffindor Tower and will be giving detention later as I see fit."

Constance brought a hand to her hips and pointed the other upward.

"If you're here to focus on anything other than the show that the universe is going to be putting on for us tonight, then you are here for the wrong reason. The fact that you mentioned another student - a very bright student who, if he decides to come, will be here to work - and not the meteor shower means that you should rethink your priorities.

I will not have you keeping another student from the show in the sky by causing a show of your own. Is that clear?"

"Hey, Hy vanna see de stars too! Hy chust vanna vatch dem vit him! Schtuff like dot iz better vhen hyu share it vit zumvun special, yah?"

He tosses his head, flicking a bit of hair over his shoulder. "Che, all dis finger pointink, accusink me ov trouble before Hy got a chence to do enyting makes me vanna do zumting to deserve it, hyu know dot, right? Mebbe hyu should calm down und schtop yellink at me vhen Hy ain't done nottink wrong."

"If you were after a date, then there are other places within the school grounds to take someone to in order to watch the meteors. This is an academic excursion, not one meant to be an excuse to take someone out."

Constance folds her arms over her chest, looking right into the boy's eyes as she speaks.

"I am merely making a set of ground rules very clear. You've gotten quite the reputation for making trouble during teacher-supervised events. What I am telling you is that I am not going to tolerate any attempts on your part to make any sort of trouble."
