WHAT: Kurloz is taking advantage of Hogwarts' massive library and delving into the medical biology section. (btw he's not wearing his makeup, just his eyeliner)
STATUS: ONGOING

Kurloz had decided to spend the majority of his Saturday sketching. Not completely unusual, and some of the sketches had even been lighthearted ones of the outdoor scenery. He'd even bothered to collect one of the autumn leaves and draw it out in exquisite detail, but then he'd gotten lost in the veins of the plant. Veins had led to thoughts of blood, and blood had led to here, the library, in the shadowy section on biology. He hadn't bothered with the general Healing tomes - he'd gone straight for the titles regarding the transformation and distortion of anatomy through spellwork, staring fascinated at the images depicting various gruesome twisted creatures and failed experiments.

He sat at one of the desks, several of the books piled at his arm as he scanned through one in front of him, eyes fixated on the detailed water-coloured painting of two wizards that had been merged to share one spine, both of their faces in agony as the writer noted that the subjects had not lasted long under the pain.

"Really? You'll help me?!"

She looks at him with a very excited look.

He chuckled and gave a small nod, gathering up the books and quickly putting them in the sorting rack before turning back to her, giving her an expectant look and waiting to be led to her homework.

She blinks for a second then jumps up.

"Oh! Uh... This way"

Usagi points in a direction then starts to lead him to her books. Almost bouncing as she walks, because Usagi is nothing if not a cheerful girl in most everything she does.

She slips into her bench and she pats the seat next to her.

He followed more sedately, bag slung over one shoulder, notebook and quill in hand. Smiling, he sat in the offered seat and looked expectantly over her books.

Her charms work lay spread out on the table, and she opened one of her books.

"I know I'm doing it wrong, but I don't know how"

He glanced over her books and tilted his head curiously before writing:

what's the homework?

[bundangos]

She pokes at a rolls up scroll in front of her.

"Five inches on a charm that has helped improve home life for everyday wizards and witches."

She sighs.

"My family are muggles I don't have a cluuuue."

Scratching his head for a moment, Kurloz asked:

have you tried asking some of your friends and shit about it?

[bundangos]

"Uwaaah I feel bad because I'm always bugging them for help. So I thought I'd try to do it on my own for a change. Buuut"

She opens up her scroll to show that apart from her name and the title of the assignment there's nothing there apart from some stars and bunnies decorating the title.

well what charms do you fucking got the know-how about that you think might make your life proper easy and shit if you used that stuff at home?

Thinking for a moment, Usagi taps her chin thoughtfully.

"Well, the locking spell would be really good for keeping Shingo out of my room"

Kurloz smiled at that and nodded.

stuff like that works. so someone wants other fuckers to stay out of their rooms or boxes or houses on a whole and some shit like that, you know?

[bundangos]

"I do! So. I just have to write about things I've use at home?"

She tilted her head curiously.

about one thing yeah. one thing that might up and be helpful to you and then you go on researching that shit and seeing what it's done for other wizard families and stuff.

[bundangos]

"Wow"

She sighs then sags a little.

"I think I was really over thinking this. I thought it had to be more important than that."

[Smiles and shrugs understandably.]

it's usually the really superficial shit that helps the most for making lives better you know?

[bundangos]

[She gives a small giggle.]

I do, thanks it's really, really helped me out. Thanks.

[Beams at him a little.]

[Smiles and shrugs, shaking his head and hand to indicate it's no problem at all.]
