[Welcome to the hospital wing! Perhaps you are a visitor to a patient, or an unfortunate individual who has managed to injure themselves in a Potions accident or an incident in Herbology. Maybe you just need a smile and a friendly ear for your problems, or a mild Calming Draught to help you sleep.

Whatever it is that you require, when the door to the ward is pushed open the first sound to be heard is that of a soft humming, and light footsteps moving across the room. Dolores Maryam looks fairly young, but there's a motherly atmosphere about her as she turns and smiles enquiringly]

[Loki shook his head. His entire hand is pretty much a giant ball of burning and pain.]

No, it all hurts. Quiet a bit, actually.

[And he has been crying far to much the past few day, he will NOT be starting again now.]

You poor thing..

[The first thing she does is give him a careful hug, then she opens a nearby cabinet and pulls out a salve to dull the pain and hasten the healing process.

She sits beside him on the bed while she applies it, then wraps the most badly burned sections in soft, clean bandage. It's flexible enough that he can still move his fingers, without risking his breaking the blisters on his skin. It would only be a day or two before it was fully healed]

How does that feel?

[The hug is rather nice.

Loki watches her tend to his wound with a sort of disgusted fascination. The numbing medication begins to work just before she starts wrapping it.]

It is much better. Thank you.

Good.. Very good. You're welcome. Can you move your fingers for me?

[Loki flexes his fingers. He could feel some pressure from the bandage, but nothing else.

He frowns at the way the bandages restricted his movement.]

[She notices that frown, and smiles just a little]

Very good. Now.. let us see what you have done to your face, sweetheart..

[Dolores pulls her wand from her pocket and utters a spell to conjure a dim light from the tip of it, much like one used by Muggle opticians, and she uses it in the same way, gently tilting Loki's head up and making sure the eye on the singed side of his face is reacting correctly to light.

When she's satisfied that it is, she makes a small sound of approval, then takes a lighter salve from the cabinet, keeping his hair out of the way as she uses it. It works in moments, the redness fading out of his skin. The eyebrow, however, will have to grow back by itself]

You must be more careful with your experiments in the future...

[The salve helps him to relax even more. The eyebrow thing would be a cause of annoyance, but at least his face no longer stung.]

I shall be more careful in the future.

Good boy. I shall refrain this time from needing to contact your Head of House to make sure that he or she keeps a closer eye on you.

[Her smile looks just a little mischievous]

[He blushes slightly, more out of embarrassment than anything.]

[Loki hops off the bed and leaves the infirmary, turning to wave at Dolores before he leaves]
