Preparing for try outs.

 WHO: Tony, but open to all.
TONE: Easy going.
RATING: PG-13 for possible language
WHEN: August 9th
WHERE: Hogwarts grounds. Roughly where the first years are taught how to ride a broom.
WHAT: Tony's getting ready to be a captain before general try out for quidditch start.
STATUS: Ongoing! 


With Tony being the Captain of Ravenclaw's team this year. Tony decided to take a break from homework and general geniusing, to sit out in the autumn sun while doing some general broom maintenance out on the grass. 

He's absorbed in his work; readjusting twigs, shifting his foot stands and getting on and testing how it moves a few feet off the air.

He's mumbling to himself during the entire process.

"What I wouldn't give for an iPod to work here sometimes"

Is one of the few things he can be heard mumbling aside from extensive thoughts on how the broom should hand'e when he does this thing or that thing to it.

One thing is for sure, he seems to be quite in his element playing with the broom.

Okay, exposure to Muggle technology through a cousin can only go so far and there are some things that Arthur just isn't aware of. He has his own broomstick held against one shoulder, head slightly tilted and one eyebrow raised.

He wasn't trying to sneak up on the other boy, but given how absorbed he is in his work, that he'd managed it wouldn't come as a surprise.

[Coraline comes out onto the field with her broom in hand as well. She'd just came out to do flying drills by herself but was pleased to see him there as well.]

Hey Tony! How goes it?

Natasha decided to not scare Tony, this time, so she made sure that she made noise when she walked. If she was going to try out for Quidditch next week, it was best to not scare the life out of the Captain. After she was on the team was a different matter.

"What's Captain Stark doing?"

"Oh! You have a Pod of i?" Loki has been looking around the grounds, and found the area was rather pleasant. He saw Tony and made a b-line for him.

[Since today was such a beautiful day, Feferi couldn't help but go outside and enjoy the weather, who knows how long this would last at any rate.

While she is finding a place to settle down, that's when she spots the Ravenclaw kid, she had never really talked to him before, but she really wanted to make more friends this year. Even though he looked busy, he probably wouldn't mind company?]

hmmm Hey!! What are you working on?

Bruce being Bruce just had to know what his friend was up to - in sunlight no less - so he found himself standing in front of Tony, head cocked to one side curiously.

"First cars, now brooms?"

"It would be nice to have music, wouldn't it?"

The voice comes from overhead. Bonnibel's sitting on her broom, hovering without a care in the world.

"You know, have everyone pumped up before tryouts?"

[Steve was not super fond of flying. It wasn't anything he did very often, because he didn't own his own broom, and the brooms the other kids at the orphanage had had to be kept secret from the Muggle children staying at the home. So, Steve hardly ever went flying.

He did enjoy going out on the grounds and watching people fly, though. He has his sketchbook tucked under his arms as he makes his way across the grass, and he's not at all surprised to see Tony there.]

Maybe you should just get a record player.

[Rapunzel will slowly approach, and then lean over his shoulder to whisper.]

That's a very nice broom.

And then there was Peter, oogling and ogling both Tony and his broom. Once a Stark fanboy, always a Stark fanboy. Hope you don't mind company, Tony, because Peter doesn't seem to think you do. He offers a warm smile before sitting down next to him.

"Woah, that looks pretty intense."

He tilts his head to the side a fraction of an inch as he stares.

Sherlock stops lurking in the background, moleskein in hand as he approaches.

"It flies, doesn't it? What more do you want from a broom?"
