Quidditch 101 with Greg Lestrade!!

WHO: Greg Lestrade, Arthur and Victoria Kirkland on Saturday, and Hufflepuffs interested in trying out for the team and who might want some tips for it before the real tryouts. Saturday is locked to Arthur and Victoria, while Sunday is open to Hufflepuffs and other people who might be at the field on that day.

WHAT: Saturday: Greg promised to help out Arthur and Victoria on their Quidditch skills. Sunday: Greg offers to take a look at what the skills of interested Hufflepuff Quidditch players and provide suggestions to improve their game before tryouts.
STATUS: Ongoing.

[Thankfully, the good weather from Friday has stretched over the weekend. If your name is Arthur or Victoria Kirkland, than Greg will be waiting for you on Saturday for your respective slots. Hufflepuff team prospects, come by on Sunday instead. Whatever it is, Greg's here to give pointers on improving your game. Gatecrashers are welcome on Sunday, but the whole field was booked for the private lessons on Saturday.]

[Oof. That was a really good shot. Greg's got it in his hands, but the force of the throw had really taken him by surprise. It looks like Arthur was a lot better at this then he thought.

They were getting closer to the goal posts. Greg decided to try something different; instead of going straight, he went to the side, and purposely threw the ball in a different direction. It's in his hopes that Arthur manages to not only catch the off-course Quaffle, but score a goal as well.]

[It manages to throw him off, but only for a moment, and he swears under his breath as he pulls his broom into a sharp turn in order to catch the Quaffle, using the momentum to throw it through the right-hand goal as he loses his balance and slips, managing to catch hold of the broom handle with one hand.

Immediately, his stomach flips and his heart lodges up in his throat, as he grabs with the other hand and makes a very concentrated effort to get back on the broomstick. Still, he's not shaken enough that he can't yell at Greg]

Are you trying to bloody kill me?!

[To be honest, it almost felt as if the broom had thrown him. He'd have to go over it to check for a Bucking Bronco Hex before tryouts]

[The broom's reaction is definitely not normal. What excitement he felt when he saw the Quaffle fly through the goal is immediately replaced with concern as he flies over to Arthur, extending a hand to help the other boy up onto his broom.]

I think it's your broom Arthur, you should get it checked. Come on, up on mine.

[He grabbed hold of Greg's hand and pulled himself up behind the other boy while his own broom continued to twitch in his hand. Certainly not normal]

Oh, this is just sodding brilliant.

[With Arthur safely on the broom with him, Greg takes them both back down to the ground.]

Well, I'd say you've got the makings of a great Chaser. You've got the aim for it, that's for sure. Maybe when someone's throwing the ball to you, you just gotta be a little bit more ready and alert for that.
