How's it going Nepeta? First week went alright?

It could be better, but I've only got myself to blame. Glad to know that you're doing good and that you're keen on trying for the Quidditch team again.
[He gestures at the crate with the Quidditch balls, one tiny golden ball resting in its pocket.]
You want me to take a look at what you've got?
no subject
Sure do--but would you like to talk first?

[And he unstraps the Snitch, holding it tightly in his hand.]
You ready? Three, two, one, GO!
[And off the Snitch goes!]

There is only so much she can practice back home, living in a Muggle city. There were too many risks of being seen, even out in the forest so she is limited in how much she can fly. Being back in Hogwarts and the open Quidditch field is exhilarating and she is zooming after the Snitch, darting between poles as it zips about. Her long hair is tied in a tight braid and flying behind.
As she drew closer she reached out with both hands, balancing precariously on her broom and caught it. She felt the feathery little ball flapping its wings frantically in her hands but she had a solid grip on it. She grinned and looked down at Greg, holding it up for him to see before making her way towards him]

When she finally has the Snitch in her hands, Greg presses the button and checks the time, eyebrows raising. He calls back up to her from the ground.]
Not bad Nepeta! Forty seconds!

Man it's so good to be back up there. [She held out the Snitch for him] After a while without flying fureely I start to get clawstrophobic, you ever get that?
no subject
Definitely. I live in London city and there's no place to practise Quidditch there at all. I don't mind living in the city, but when there's no place a boy can go to to practise his flying it tends to get a bit stifling.
Right, let's try this again. Only this time, I want you to give the Snitch a 5 second lead before you start looking for it. You ready Nepeta?
[He lets go and a golden blur zips up into the air before it disappears. Counting down 5 seconds, he signals to her when she can start searching for it.]

She bit her lip as her eyes roamed the space before her, keeping calm and not trying to rush herself. That would only make her likely to miss it. She slowly allowed herself to move around, keeping to the same height before she suddenly took a dive. The Snitch darted out from beneath her and she let out a small hiss under her breath, jerking around to give it chase once more. Once more it darted to the side but this time she was ready for it and through her weight forward to catch it. The tiny ball had nearly escaped her but she had just managed to catch it by one of its wings.
Nepeta floated back down, taking ahold of the poor thing by its spherical body and holding it out to Greg.]

[Greg takes the Snitch from her, smoothing out the wing. The golden wings immediately folded themselves back up into a ball.]
Right. What do you think you need to work on?
