WHERE: Hufflepuff common room, and then the Forbidden Forest
WHAT: Karkat and Nepeta have been sneaking out to the Forbidden Forest since first year, but this is the first time they've gotten caught. What do they do? Drag the fun police on a ride.

[Living in the same dorm as the Hufflepuffs was a bit taxing on his patience, though he had to admit that it made it easier for this sort of thing. He couldn't begin to count the amount of times he'd nearly been caught sneaking out over the last four years because he'd stumbled over something. The Forbidden Forest was forbidden for a reason, but someone had to keep an eye on Nepeta to make sure she didn't get into any trouble.

Slipping out of the fourth year's boys dorm after making sure everyone was asleep (placing that silencio charm on Bilious Slick's habitat had been genius), Karkat zipped his hoodie up and started moving into the common room, making sure he didn't bump into anything. Even though it was easier, there was bound to be a couple of students still awake despite it being well past curfew.

When he got to their meeting spot, Karkat crouched down, waiting for his sister.]

[For Nepeta, on the other hand, this was easy work. Curfew was a word that meant very little to her and she had quite an amount of experience in sneaking around and being completely quiet.

She was wrapped herself up similarly, robes tended to make more noise after all, and made sure that the other girls in the dorm were sleeping before heading off. She was a little later than she meant to be since it had taken a while for the others to go to sleep so she only gave the common room and quick cursory glance before heading right out.

She made a quick pit stop at the nearby kitchens where she was greeted by some of the house elves--it would be good to bring some food so that they could share it with any creatures they might come by--before she zipped off to meet up with Karkat]

[It was hard sleeping in the dorms when it was all so crowded. He'd gotten used to sharing a dorm with only a few people, and suddenly being forced to sleep somewhere new, with a lot of different people made it difficult to sleep. So he'd snuck out of the dorm and curled up on the couch. He wasn't asleep by the time he heard movement.

He sat up, squinting through the darkness.]

Karkat? Uh, what are you doing?

[Oh fuck. Karkat stops dead still in the shadows of the common room, trying to keep still before he figured that it probably wasn't going to work. He gave a bit of a sheepish grin as he tried to think up an excuse to tell the other boy.]

Uh...going to the bathroom?

[Nepeta was making her way back with the collected food in a knapsack when she saw that Karkat was there...but so was someone else. Tavros, a prefect. She liked him quite a lot but this meant that things weren't going to go exactly as planned. How to try and shake him off their tail? She had an idea in mind, and she hid the knapsack under her robes before approaching the two boys]

Hey Karkat, thanks fur agreeing to take me. [She turned to Tavros and smiled, while trying to put on a tired expression] Hi Tavros!
