Heh, as m'lady commands.

[He roots out a bag and tosses it to her, then settles back in his seat]

I wish you the best of luck on your literary pursuits, of course.

[Muggle candy! Wow, why is this stuff so fascinating to her? Muggles can make fascinating things!]

I assume your Summer wasn't as eventful as others than? Not that I assume it was mundane. I'm just aware that a few of our fellows seemed to have interesting stories to tell.

Mm, that's the impression I've been getting as well.

[Arthur rubs one hand along his jaw and makes a thoughtful sound]

My brother Phineas is in hospital at the moment, but aside from that, I've nothing of particular interest to report.

Oh. I'm sorry to hear that, honestly. I didn't mean to bring up a sullen subject. I hope he's doing alright, Arthur. You have my condolences.

[She's a little put off at the sudden turn in conversation. She was hoping that he had a better Summer than that!]

[There's a small shrug, and he smiles slightly]

No need, he'll be fine. It's just a concussion. Ah, I did visit Coraline, and saw the Cup.

[Yes, better topics]

How was the Cup? I'm not a huge fan. but I feel I should at least try to keep up with it once in awhile. I know too many people who are quite head over heels about it.

[She pops one of the candies in her mouth.]

It was rather exciting. I can't say I'm a fan of the crowds and such but I can't deny the atmosphere.

[He smiles again, faintly, and looks out of the window]

I'd not say I'm head over heels, but it's nice to take a break from intellectual pursuits at times.

It never quite sparked my fancy, unfortunately. I guess I enjoy the romantics of riding the back of horses or the sound of metal against metal.

But I can see the appeal of such an endeavor. I was not quite built for it though. I'm glad you found it enjoyable though. It always seems like a struggle to be able to attend.

I'm not going to say those things don't have their own charm..

You're right, though, it's quite a struggle. I can only manage crowds like that every so often.

Good thing it doesn't come around often enough that it would deter people from going. In the end, I'm sure we can all agree that we would be willing to go through that hardship just to do it again.
