WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

Usually the train doesn't take ones breath away after the first time.

[She shakes the hand, but leans forward to place three kisses on Jake's cheeks. While she doesn't quite do it so much in London, she felt the need to at least properly introduce herself the first time.]

[He keeps his fingers on her hand, startled by her affection. He chuckles a bit, figuring it must be some kind of cultural miscommunication. She does look rather exotic, at least. When she moves back and gives her name, he smiles and bows a little at the waist, pulling her hand forward and tapping his lips to her knuckles.]

[Everyone has to get used to it a bit since Rose is one of the few whom didn't take the usual route in terms of schooling. She didn't want to follow in her mother's shadow!]

Now, aren't you a fine gentleman. Not many show such politeness at your age and this age. You do know how to make someone feel like a lady. It's a pleasure. [She's so out of your league, dude.]

[He chuckles a bit, scratching at the bridge of his nose.]

Well my grandmother didn't raise me to be a barbarian, that's for darn sure.

You had a good grandmother then. I have to ask though. Your accent is not quite to what I'm used too. Did you come from somewhere else previously? Hopefully, that isn't too invasive. I'm just fairly curious.

Ah, no trouble at all. I'm originally from Glasgow, but I went to live with my gram in Australia when I was but a wee thing. Lived there until a little less than a year ago, hence the unusual inflection.

Well, I'm native to Southern France, so everyone sounds different to me regardless. Why did you decide to return to the United Kingdom? For schooling?

France! I knew your accent was familiar.

[His smile fades a touch.] ...ah. No, my uh. Gram died, early the year before last. I had to move back to Glasgow with my parents.

I'm glad that I tried so hard at my foreign languages. I have enjoyed my visits to London and being a student here.

[Her smile seems rather apologetic.] I beg your pardon. I didn't mean to pry on such a touchy subject.

I am, too! It's pretty dandy to get to meet such a wide variety of people, really.

[He shrugs a little and goes back to smiling normally.] I have to grow out of being upset over it eventually.

Hogwarts has a fairly diverse group of students. I'm sure you'll meet all sorts of people you didn't think you would. [She smiles knowingly. Like she already knows he's met someone already fairly unique. It's not everyday that you meet someone with Veela blood in her history.]

I think you would get along well with a friend of mine. She would most likely say something similar.

Oh? I've been hearing quite a lot of that lately.

Who else have you spoken too? [Good. It's better that way. She's not vocal about it at all.]

Perhaps you will meet Jade in the near future. I imagine you and her would hit it off quite well.
