WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[He stares for another minute before he catches himself, stepping forward and offering her a hand to shake.]

Oh! You are the uncanny Jake, then! [She returns the gesture with all the enthusiasm of an excitable dog. She would say that Jake looks the same as her grandfather as a young man, but her grandfather's appearance in photos isn't something that warranted a reminder tie.]

[He laughs a bit at her excitement, squeezing her hand before he lets it go.]

Ah, same to you. Salutations and it's delightful to meet you. Is the train always this busy?

Hehehehe...in the first half of the trip, at least, people are getting up and walking around to see if they can find their friends. You know, the whole school is on this train! I am surprised that the snack trolley can go the whole length of the train before Hogwarts even comes into sight.

But I suppose that is what magic's for.
