School Year Starting Logs: Train + Feast/Sorting!

WHO: Everyone!
TONE: Anything!
RATING: PG through PG-13
WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[Feferi sees Nepeta and cannot help but smile when she sees her wavering. She runs up to Nepeta and gives her the biggest hug.]

Nepetaaaaa!! It's been ages!! How was your Summer?

My summer has been great! We went to the Quidditch World Cup this year, can you believe it? What about you?

[Feferi does enjoy hugs from Nepeta, but she lets go so that she can face her, easier to talk.]

Oooooh! Wow, that must of be so exciting!! Ended up missing the cup, mum wasn't in the mood for it. So i am totally jealous of you!!

[She pauses for a bit. She doesn't really know how to answer this with the things that did happen over the summer.] It was interesting to say the least, but at least both of our summers weren't boring!

Aww. Well I guess that explains why I didn't see you. [It really was a shame. Camping out with a bunch of people and seeing her class mates had been fun. Feferi's answer made her quirk and eyebrow and made her all the more curious.]

Where are you staying right now? You looked kinda busy but do you have time to sit down?

Yeah, i am super sorry!! But i am sure we can hang out lots while were at school!! Next time, i will invite you over, if you want!! [She really doesn't want to tell everyone at school, she knows she can trust Nepeta, but it's not something you should be talking about in the Corridor of the train.]

[She sighs.] I am, but i doubt i am going to find my sister any time soon, she will probably come and find me when she needs me. I am at compartment near the front of the train, its a bit of a walk, if you are up for it?

[She nodded at the question, smiling a little at Feferi's exasperation] Yea, I'm sure she'll come around. Purrobably just wants to catch up with her friends as well.

Life certainly loves to throw things when you least except it.

[She starts walking towards her compartment knowing that Nepeta will follow and continues to talk along the way.]

Yeah, that's true. Probably run into Aranea by now, speaking of siblings, how is Karkat going?

[She knows karkat isn't her sibling but the two of them act like it.]

[Indeed, Nepeta fell in step with Feferi]

He's being his usual grumpy self. Which is to say as good as Karkat ever gets. He recently started calling mum and dad...well, mum and dad! [She beams at this. Sal and Di had always welcomed him as a son, but Karkat, understandably, hadn't taken to the idea all that well. She is glad he had finally come to feel welcomed and loved enough to be able to address them as such]

[She smiles at the mention of Nepeta's family.]

I don't think Karkat will change any time soon, it would be so strange if he did!! But that's really sweet, i mean calling them mum and dad now does mean a lot. I am so happy for you Nepeta and for your family!!

I can't complain about mine, i love them, but they no where near as adorable as yours are.

That's ok. You make up for all of them. [She gave Feferi a gentle nudge of her elbow]

But yea, thank you. It's been real hard fur him with everything that has happened so I'm real happy to see him adjusting bit by bit. [It's been a uphill battle but one most definitely worth it.]

He still can be a handful but I'm sure you know about siblings that are a handful.

[She giggles.] I don't think i can make up for my family in general.

Karkat is very lucky to have such an amazing family, who has accepted and loved him. I hope he realizes how lucky he is to have you guys.

[Then finally made it to the compartment, Feferi opens the door, she steps in to clean some of Meenah's crap and moves it so that Nepeta can sit down.]

I think this is one example of how my sister can be a handful.
