WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

Exactly why I think you're not really being all that selective.

And not all of them, some of them are teachers.. Or actual birds. I'm an interesting fun, but I have limits.

[He twirls the paper in his fingers.]

Okay, curious but cautious. What's in here? Because I doubt it's your usual potted plant collection. If this is some strange charm... I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about it.

You be one fine lookin' bloke, yeah, but I ain't really interested in dudes what might want to put me in a dress. [admits, then grins at the question about the paper] Oh, nah! That shits for smelling good! Like you can be using it when you gotta deal with stinkweed in Herbology or Potions or cleaning out the Thestrals in CoMC.

[The one he's given Tony smells rather pleasantly of verbena, sandalwood, and something smoky.]

[Tony lifts the twist to his nose then regards it with a semi pleased look, then tucks it behind his ear.]

Well I've smelt a hell of a lot worse. What brought this need to lavish people with exotic smells?

Well, I was all sitting and looking at the sea and I was thinking about school and how it all got a different feel in the sniffer up there, because of all them trees and kids and rocks and shit? And I thought it would be pretty motherfuckin' sweet if someone could be putting that all in a bottle for checking out later when a bro is all by himself and not at school. Except I ain't got the knowing of how to do that, so I wanted to get a whole bunch of other sniffs together what people would like, because I missed all of you.

[In other words, Gamzee was lonely and bored and this kept him occupied, waiting to go back to a time when he wasn't alone again.] And so I wanted to put together the happiest of them sniffs I could, except nothing that would get no one in trouble!

[Tony stares at him for a moment.]

Wow, that was. Well it was incredibly sentimental. You do know that if you missed people you could have just invited them over or something. I hear it's all the rage in America. They call it, "hanging out". Really good for lonely feelings I hear.

I ain't on floo, and I live a long motherfuckin' way from most everyone. [shrugs] I went to go see some people when I could, but ain't only so far most people can be going.

[Tony looks at Gamzee for a second then pulls out his wallet from his back pocket and takes out a card and offers it to Gamzee.]

Know how a telephone? Well it doesn't really matter, this place takes owls too. It's a driver service. Tell them you'd like a car on the Stark Industries account. It's twenty-four hour service, and they can either wait out for you or just com back at a set time. I mean you don't need it when going out for liquorice all sorts or anything but, you know, for seeing people.

[He speaks easily, as his offer is no big deal.]

I have a cell phone. [His dad's a Muggle, Tony. He takes the card, frowning faintly, looks at it, then hands it back a little uncomfortably. It's not as though gamzee's poor - his dad makes decent money - but that kind of ostentatious wealth is pretty weird to him.] Tony, I can't be all taking that ... anyway, it don't matter, we're at school, now.

[arrogantalloy]

[Tony doesn't even acknowledge the fact the Gamzee is offering him the card back and keeps looking at him.]

Sure you can. They're under contract with the company, so really if no one uses them we're losing money on the deal.

And yeah, we're back at school now. But we wont be at Christmas, or you know next summer.

[Tony rubs the back of his neck, looking down at his shoes for a split second.]

This isn't a charity thing. This is a helping a guy out thing.

[mo_cara]

[The younger boy chews on his bottom lip for a few moments, then tucks the card into his pocket. He's probably not going to use it, but if it makes Tony feel better to give it to him, well, who's he to disallow that?] Okay. Uh. Thanks.

[Sighs slightly.]

No need to make this awkward, fun park. This is just a thing between friends.

Sure, motherfucker. [Gamzee smiles then, a little more confidently at least.] You ever be getting yourself that broom?

[arrogantalloy]

Uh. No.

[Tony gives his nose a thoughtful scratch.]

I ended up sorta ordering parts and making it myself. Well technically it's classified as modifying, I want to get around school rules.

Damn, like a motherfuckin' broom mechanic! Is it pretty sweet?

Well, I'd say it is. You're just going to have to come to a Ravenclaw match to see how it really runs.

[He gives him a wide and self satisfied grin.]

I go to all the match sticks! [agreeably] I ain't always keeping best track of the scores, though. I'll come be seeing, though!

Yeah, I only pay attention to the scores when the game has finished to be honest. But it'll be fun looking for your almost gormless expression in the the crowd.

[He pats his arm, amicably.]
