School Year Starting Logs: Train + Feast/Sorting!

WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[Bruce's nose twitches, and he blinks awake, glancing at the chocolates with a frown and then up at Loki, fumbling with his glasses.]

Hngh, is that... Loki?

[Not too familiar with the kid's scent, but when his glasses are on- yup, that's a Loki Odinson, and he smiles tiredly up at him.]

Hey, you made it.

[Loki smiles. He was trying to be so quiet too. Oh well.]

Yes. I apologize, I was trying not to wake you. You look as if you need the sleep.

[He sits up, picking up the chocolate frogs.]

You didn't, these did. [Sniffs over them and smiles.] Did you get them for me?

[He nods, taking a seat across from Bruce]

You looked hungry.

[greenmoonrising]

[Smile grows warmer and he chuckles, popping one frog in his mouth and even if he usually dislikes sweets, the chocolate is good when he's feeling so run down.]

Thanks, I appreciate it.

[Offers the other frog to Loki.]

I'm surprised though - I'd have thought Thor would be attached to you and showing you off to everyone.

[Loki declines the other frog, pulling out a few of Cauldron Cakes instead.]

I wanted to explore the train a bit on my own. He is not hard to get away from.

[Pops the other frog into his mouth and smiles wryly.]

It's Thor - it's easy to get away from him, but once he notices you're missing he'll probably start tearing through the train looking for you.

It's not a ridiculously huge train - he'll find you sooner rather than later I guess.

[Loki holds out a cauldron cake]

Best to enjoy each others company until that time.

[Chuckles and accepts it.]

[He smiles, but it has a slightly concerned note]

Are you alright, Bruce?

[Just starts chewing on his cake, blinking innocently which doesn't work too well with his obviously tired-out features.]

You seem as if you are ill

[Smiles, swallowing the cake.]

I'm fine, really. I was up all night doing some extra reading that's all.

[Loki is still not convinced. He gives Bruce a skeptical look]

What were you reading?

[Pulls out his potions textbook from his bag - it's already been read a bit as can be seen from the several dog-ears.]

Ahead in coursework - it's pretty interesting stuff.

"Oooo, potions!" Loki moved to sit next to Bruce so he could look at the book.

[greenmoonrising]

Bruce chuckled at the boy's enthusiasm and handed the book to him. "You like potions?"

gah, random format switch, sorry.

[He grins]

I enjoy it greatly!

It's cool!

[Smiles and shrugs.]

Well then, classes should be fun for you - Tony mainly likes it when we get to blow things up, but it's annoying to have to order new cauldrons when you've melted yours' again and again.

I can see how that would grow tiresome after a while.

I just feel sorry for the delivery owls - some of those cauldrons are heavy.
