WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[Loki is wandering through the train when he pokes his head into Rapunzel's compartment.]

Good morning!

[Rapunzel smiles and waves at the young boy.]

Good morning! How are you?

[He extends a hand]

I am Loki, by the way.

[Wait. Wait. Stop. No handshakes. Hugging.]</small Loki! I'm Rapunzel -- It's so good to really meet you!

[Hugging? Okay, hugging is good! He smiles widely and hugs back.]

Rapunzel! It is good to meet you as well! One moment!

[He dashes out of the compartment, only to return a moment later with a small purple box in his hand.He holds it out.]

Here!

[Great minds think alike, apparently, because as soon as Loki returns, Rapunzel is also prepared with a gold box, topped with a green bow. She nearly drops it in excitement when she sees Loki's gift, though.]

Oh, thank you! You remembered! That's so sweet.

[Inside the box is a hair clip wrapped gently in tissue paper]

[He exchanges the box and smiles]

Oh... Oh my goodness, Loki, it's so beautiful. Thank you.

[Inside his box, he'll find a thickly knit pair of green gloves and mittens. A blue fabric 'R' has been sewn onto everything, but if Loki reverses them, he'll find a silver 'S'.]

A muggle woman in town crafted it. Can you believe she did that without the use of magic?

[Loki tries on the gloves and grins, holding his hands up to his face to feel the soft yarn.]

I know! It really blows me away; some of the things they can do!

I'm glad you like them! You said people told you you seemed like a Ravenclaw or Slytherin... If you get sorted differently, I'll knit you some new ones.

It is truly fascinating. I must say a post not reliant on owls seems like one of their better idea.

I am sure they will suit me just fine. [Yeah, he really doesn't think he'll be in either of the other two houses.]

Heh, definitely. Owls are lovely, but not always the most reliable.

No, not so much about the sorting... Just nervous. About being somewhere new, guess.

Well, no, but I didn't get out much before Hogwarts.

No, my mother is just very, very protective.

I'd like to. I'm a bit worried about being on my own when I graduate, but it'll be fun.
