School Year Starting Logs: Train + Feast/Sorting!

WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

... You do look rather fatigued though... Have you been ill recently Bruce?

[If she didn't have a good amount of self restraint she'd be bouncing in her chair]

Oh! Then I suppose we will learn the role together then? My apologises for assuming, I have always been slightly out of date with the older students. And yes, I suppose that is true, but responsibility is not the only necessary thing... I only help I can live up to expectations. Surely you understand that feeling?

Eh, something like that. It'll pass and it's not contagious, don't worry.

[Can tell she's bouncing on the inside and grins again.]

I do, and I'm not sure why they picked me for a Prefect but... The teachers are good judges - they wouldn't have given you the job if they didn't think you could do it.

Well I hope it passes soon then. It can be the absolute worst thing to be sick. I caught a small bug over the summer myself, and I had to miss the School Camp... Though in retrospect perhaps that was in fact a good thing.

That is true. And I'm sure it holds the same for you Bruce. They must have had a reason, and it can be quite obvious to some. You're incredibly smart, and you're always kind to others.

The camp was a bit... chaotic, to put it in a word.

[Shrugs and runs a hand through his hair.]

I'm not, really - I think they might've been hoping that I'd be able to restrain Tony a bit if I were Prefect but then they're sadly misinformed.

Yes... I knew that much. Quite a few students were injuryed, some more severly that others. [Including her baby sis. Not that anyone knows that they are indeed sisters] It was probably best to have not been there I suppose.

You are,. Aside from those who are cruel to others, though a sharp word can often be the least they deserve. And I'm sure you'll do your best. Mr Stark is a hard one to hold back, even the Headmaster knows that.

At least it got cleaned up fairly quickly...

Yes, I suppose that's a good point... It's terrible that it happened at all of course.
