A Very Backdated Party

The backyard is covered in little luminous orbs and there's food a plenty on a long table to the right, spelled against pests, insects and of course, stealthy cats. There's room to park cars or brooms, so no matter how you come, there will be somewhere to stash your things. The fireplace is nice and clear for those who come by Floo. Music seems to be playing, though finding the radio might be a challenge, so just enjoy what's on.

Dierdre seems pleased, making sure cups are filled and people are happy. And of course, if you drink too much, she'll be happy to put you up in a cot in the cattery. Hope you don't mind being a pillow for a few cats.

[Food of all sorts! Sandwiches, little pies, tarts, and plenty of little things to nibble on.

And off to the side is an assortment of teas and coffees and various wicked colored cocktails.]

[So Sal decided went a little overboard with the puddings tonight. He's already made three different kinds and he's still in the kitchen perusing his mother's cookbooks for another.]

...Dear. I think we do have enough.

Can't hurt to be prepared, love. [Shh he just likes wearing this apron.]

At this rate we'll be eating puddings for weeks.

But at least they're delicious puddings. [He picks up one of the finished toffee puddings from the tray and offers it to her, holding it up close to her mouth.] At least I think so.

And you won't hear Karkat complaining.

Oh yes, lets let the children eat puddings until school, that will do wonders. Karkat would be round.

[ But she opens her mouth to accept the offering. Mnn puddings.]

How about we went a few home with people if they like them? Then we won't have to roll Karkat and Nepeta to platform nine and three-quarters.

[There's only three or four tables, with five or so chairs each. None of the chairs match the tables and it all seems rather haphazard but each table is covered with a lovely forest green tablecloth and little twig circle, courtesy of Di and Nepeta]

[Sal has claimed a chair for himself and now he's covered in cats. Don't worry, this is a completely normal occurrence in this house.]

[Sybille has grabbed a cocktail for herself (well, okay, she grabbed herself two cocktails), and has taken a seat at a table by herself.]
