Sorry to pop in unannounced
WHO: Murdoc, Eridan and Vriska.
TONE: Heartbreaking with eventual heartwarming.
RATING: PG-13
WHEN: Backdated to the 2nd of July
WHERE: Mon..aco? Sybille's house.
WHAT: Murdoc begrudgingly takes Eridan to Sybille's house so he can talk to Vriska while he talks to Sybille, Sybille had other arrangements.
STATUS: Ongoing
For the first time in what would be nearly ten years, Eridan was entirely in Murdoc's care and supervision. Eridan's nanny was long overdue for a vacation and Murdoc had no work obligations during his summer. He hadn't asked any more about the cruise that would span over the summer, but he had gladly sent the other man off on his holiday. After finding out he had two illegitimate daughters that he didn't know about until now, he was a little eager to start being a better father to his legitimate son. That being said, he hadn't realised just how terrible he was at this sort of thing. The two of them were bored in the house all day long and they were cranky and irritated when they went out.
Tired of being cooped up, Murdoc was looking for excuses to leave. Eridan refused to visit any friends when Murdoc inquired, so Murdoc decided he would make friends for him. Such as Vriska, the lovely girl living with Sybille, which is a coincidence and nothing more shut your filthy mouth. Truthfully, he'd felt a little closer to her after the teacher's meet and he was going to have to tell her about those daughters of his eventually. He can't always dodge the shit hail storm that is his life, but whatever. He just wanted to talk things out and if they ended up kissing, well, he wouldn't mind that either
So, by some strange miracle, he happened upon Sybille's home in Monaco and is now striding along the path to her home with Eridan in tow. It was probably a bit rude to come over without even asking, but he had decided it so abruptly there was just no time to send a good faith owl. He raps on the door and suddenly regrets everything, why is he here, what is he doing, this is uncalled for and she'll probably laugh at you.
god damn it.

And how boring it would leave him. Sighs.
When he was dragged along for another outing of sorts, he mainly kept to himself during the portion of them heading to Monaco. He really wasn't one for conversation during travel, he liked to focus on his surroundings and things. And as much as he hated to admit it, he might have actually found this outing enjoyable than when the usually went out.
Thankfully, he wouldn't stay completely quiet the entire trip. As they were striding along, Eridan mulled over a few thoughts, but it wasn't until after they made it to the door and Murdoc would rap upon it that he would suddenly speak. He didn't even bother to turn and face him or anything like that at all.
"Out of all of the people we could hawe wisted, we're wisitin' them."

She was used to it by now, after all.
Being completely and utterly alone without a single chance of being walked in on left Vriska a lot of options to spend her time alone. She chose to let herself enjoy a bit of LARPing- live action role playing that she was guilty of a lot when she was younger. Since Sybille had left Vriska had already gone through an entire story arc on her own and by the time early midday rolled around she was already (pretend) dining with her enemy (who's stand in was a stuffed bear sitting across from her at the dining table, but details).
She had a tea set put out with hot water boiling on the stove when someone knocked at the door. Faster than a kid out of bed after curfew Vriska cleaned up any stuffed animal traces, shoving what she could in a nearby broom closet. She would go to her grave with this secret passion.
After securing the survival of her pride Vriska went to go see who was at the door. Peeking out through the peephole she was surprised enough, seeing who her visitors were to open up the door for them.
"Professor?"

And that's the only answer Eridan is getting out of his father before the door opens. Really though, Eridan should be used to the justifcation of everything being based on social obligations. It was a life all purebloods had to become accustomed to.
He swats his ear for asking the stupid question, but he gives his hair a ruffle as a small offering of support for the awkwardness he was about to put him through. Though he knew she lived there, he's still a little surprised to see the girl answering the door. He gives her a half smile and ducks his head down at her, not as informal as a nod but not as formal as a bow.
"Good afternoon, Miss Serket. Is your Aunt in at all?" He glances about behind her in a curious manner. The question seemed to be asked out of formality, because of course Sybille would be there if Vriska was. Still, the hopeful little inflection at the end of said question gives away his eagerness to see her.

And whenever he did, he gives a small glance to who opened the door. Oh, it was Vriska. Okay. Oh well. He turns to look away, seeming to be more preoccupied with the scenery than the door. You know, being rude as hell and all that, as he usually is. He was really being difficult today, and he didn't really care.
Wait. He realized he wasn't included in the question from Vriska, he sighs again and looks back. "I'm here too, you know."

Now, he realises he must be jumping to conclusions. Perhaps there was a sitter around? Shouldn't they be answering the door for the girl? He narrows his eyes suspiciously.
"Yesterday? She left you alone? Did she-" He pauses, realising he sounds pathetically needy with all of those questions. "Did she mention where she'd be going?"
Murdoc swats Eridan again at that comment, grabbing his wrist and tugging him toward the door. "Let's not stand around outside like a bunch a morons. You don't mind if we pop in, do you?" He asks, but he's kind of barging past her, Eridan in tow.

He really did not want to be here at all.
