At first I was alone, I was petrified

WHO: Teachers
TONE: Worse than yesterday
RATING: PG13-R
WHEN: Thursday June 28th
WHERE: Common Room
WHAT: It's a night of relaxing for some fun karaoke and drinks
STATUS: On going

[The teachers deserve a break, for some reason, and Dumbledore decided to go with something a bit more muggle. A karaoke station is set up, full of cheesy songs that will only embarrass you. There are an array of costumes on a rack if you're feeling adventurous with your musical career. Go ahead, do it, none of the teachers would ever admit to being too afraid to sing.]

[At some point, with the help of a little wine, Chiara finds the courage to come over. Rhys is strange, but she's only talked to the other potions teacher, and really she sees it as part of her responsibility to help with certain supplies that are needed]

Scusi, Signor Rhydderch? [That is a slightly complicated name to say gosh] You are Hogwarts other potion's professor, sì?
grandhighwizard: (In your hunger to believe)

No. Miss Mercer is the other professor. Miss Vargas, isn't it? What can I do for you, my girl? [He arches one eyebrow lazily, resting his chin on one of his hands.]
tomatatas: (He doesn't look a thing like Jesus)

[The temptation to roll her eyes is barely repressed Chiara making sure to keep her face neutral. The stories she's heard about this professor mark him as unpredictable at times, and as much as the possessive addition of "my" annoys her (not to say that calling her "girl" doesn't) irritates her she'll ignore it. Be the adult]

I just wanted to inquire if there were any particular plants you needed for the next year that could be of assistance in acquiring. I wish to be prepared for term well before it starts.

[Poor Chiara - it might take her awhile to get used to people in the UK, they use diminutives casually and often, especially the older ones. At least he hasn't called her 'love' or 'dear'.]

I have my own small garden, but I could give you a list of what I don't have the room or conditions to grow. Some of it might not be possibly to grow here, though. Industrious, aren't you?
