[Who knew the Great Hall could look like a classy club. The music is loud, the lights are all over the place and the dance floor is begging you to cut a rug.]

Wait, so who's this girl? Got your attention, she must be something.

Five seconds ago you were getting on me about her being fake.

That was five seconds ago, you really have to keep up.

Besides, not even you are so sad as to have an imaginary girl be someone you really wanted to ask over a list of you know actual real girls.

[He had to look around, as if someone could be watching, waiting.]

[Looks like he's going through every name he can think of. So, it's not there for very long.]

Yeah, going to have to point her out. She a blonde?

[Tony did tend to remember blondes the best]

I'm not Sherlock Holmes, Wilbur. I need more than 'she's in my year' to go with.

For the record there are girls our age I don't have names and measurements for, locked away in here.

[Taps his temple]

House, hair length, skirt length.

[He just siiighs and rolls his eyes. Tony, not everyone pays attention to same stuff you do.]

Gryffindor. Blonde. Pigtails. Always reading books.

[It would be a lot easier for Tony, if people did pay attention to the stuff he does.

Tony does a mental roll call on all the Gryffindor girls he remembers.]
Mid thigh, with those pigtails just barely past her shoulders, bangs?

[Tony had a good memory when it came to someone's looks. Male or female.]

[He nodded.] Yeah, that's Maka.. I asked her to come with me, but I don't think she really got the point.

Did you even think to maybe stress the point?

"Hey Maka, you do know this is going to be a date, with the holding hands an the dancing things that happen while on dates at school dances?"

[Then Tony puckers his lips up at Wilbur]

"And Maka, if I'm lucky, I'd like to kiss you too." You know something like that. If that doesn't get the point across, either she's really innocent. Or you so never had a chance.

"Go with me to the dance" usually implies it's a date. I didn't know I had to make a show of it.

[Tony, gross. Even your air kisses are toxic.] Stop it. Maka and I have been friends for a while. She has to like me.

[arrogantalloy]

No, "go with me to the dance" just means go with me. "Be my date to the dance" means go with me.

[He grins at being told to stop]

Thor and I have been friends since first year. Doesn't mean he didn't beat the hell out of me a few days ago. There's like. and then there's "like"

[He wiggles his fingers as he says his second like]

Well, maybe next time you should just tell me what to say since you're such an expert at it.

[He crossed his arms tightly.]

I dunno, mate. Thor has this weird way of showing affection. You never know.

Hey, if you ever need help. I'm always happy to help. Like you said I am an expert.

[Tony pulls a face as he shudders at the thought]

If that his affection he can keep it. I was walking weird enough after that fight.

Yeah, thanks, Tony. I'll be sure to keep that in mind next I'm floundering about.

That sounds like something you should keep between the two of you.
