WHAT: Ellis foolishly revealed a desire to become a beater for the quidditch team. Amelia takes it upon herself to school him.
STATUS: ONGOING

[Amelia had missed playing beater. Not that she didn't love being a chaser too-- the thrill of scoring a goal was like none other. But still, she felt most alive with a bat in her hand.

... So it's possible she may have gone a little overboard with Ellis. But it wasn't all that bad, really. She alit on the ground, summoning both bludgers and wrestling them back into their case, before trotting over to help Ellis off his own broom.]

Specter's even worse, y'know. If you get on the team. He won't go easy on you like I did.

[Ellis is floating slowly down to the ground, doubled over his broom. When he gets a couple of feet from the ground, he tumbles off of it, completing missing Amelia's helping arms and landing on his back with a thud, his broom falling next to him.]

Nnnngh. S-sounds... fun.

[ladyliberty]

[... Okay so maaaybe she'd overdone it a little. She bent to lean over Ellis, extending a hand to help him up.]

You gonna be alright there, big guy?

[thisonetime_withkeith]

[No. No, he feels like he's going to die.]

'Course I am...S'just a scratch.

[He lifts his hand up to grasp her hand, despite the fact his arm is screaming in protest. He's pretty sure it might be broken. Or maybe just heavily bruised. He isn't quite sure, just that it really god damn hurts to lift. But he manages to get his hand around hers anyway.]

[ladyliberty]

C'mon, up you go. [She tugs him to his feet in a manner that is probably not as gentle as one should be when dealing with injuries.] Nothing broken?

[thisonetime_withkeith]

[If Ellis's cries of pain were of any indication, it was quite possible that something was indeed broken. After his initial stumbling forward from the force of her pull, he decides to just stand perfectly still. If he doesn't move, then nothing hurts! Except not... really. Everything throbs. Just slightly less.]

Y-Yeah, everything's fine! I feel great. That was real fun. I had a b-blast.

[ladyliberty]

[She frowns at him a bit, looking him up and down.] You sure? You don't look so hot.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

No, I swear! I'm fine. But standin' up ain't all that fun, so I'ma just... sit back down for a lil bit.

[Eeeeeasing back down to the ground slowly. Except squatting that slowly is difficult and he loses his balance, falling on the ground again and his butt.

Nngh. Haha, sittin's awesome, you ever tried it? Feels real good...

Whaaat? No! My mama told me not to lie, so I ain't a liar. I dunno what you're even talkin' about. I'm tellin' ya, I'm fine!

[So she prods him in the side with her foot.]

[thisonetime_withkeith]

[He lets out a squeak of pain and falls over, clutching his side.]

[ladyliberty]

[Sigh.]

C'mon, I'll take you to the hospital wing.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

N-no, ya don't gotta do...Ngh- that.

[ladyliberty]

[Prod.]

[thisonetime_withkeith]

Ow ow ow ow, s-stop doin' that, please!

[ladyliberty]

[Okay okay she'll stop being mean.

But she will bend down and scoop him up. It's a little awkward, but it'll do at least to get him inside.]

C'mon big guy. Let's get you patched up.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

[He has a small brief moment of flailing madly because NO NO PUT ME DOWN IT SHOULDN'T BE LIKE THIS. But then the pain of flailing was just worse than his pride.]

A-Amelia!

[ladyliberty]

What? After all that, don't tell me you didn't think I could carry you.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

I...no... I meant, I knew you were strong an' all, but... don'tcha think this looks silly? Ya really don't gotta carry me! I'm sure I could w-walk in a couple hours!

[ladyliberty]

I'm not leaving you lying here for a couple of hours.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

I'd be okay! I'd have- uh...

My broom to keep me company!

[ladyliberty]

If you don't shut up I'm gonna drop you.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

Okay!

[He is taking that threat completely serious and part of him is scared to even breathe.]

[ladyliberty]

That's better.

[thisonetime_withkeith]

[He nods slowly, trying not to look too much like he disagrees completely. But he will not say a single word.]

[ladyliberty]

[And so she carries him inside and toward the hospital wing. Anyone who makes any comments is gonna go on her list.]
