WHAT: Lovi brings up his intense desire to stay as far away from home this summer as possible.

Six years, and Lovino still had a hard time finding someone to sit with during meals. He glanced around the enormous room and saw Kiku sitting by himself reading one of his picture books as always.

He was a cool enough guy he thought. Granted he was a bit...odd but Lovino credited that to him being Japanese and the cultural differences between them.

"Is it alright if I sit next to you?" he asks tapping Kiku on his shoulder.

Kiku jumps, slamming the comic shut and shoving it back into his bag quickly, looking up at him. "L-Lovino, good morning...! Yes, that would be fine, you can sit here..." He moves over to make a bit more room, returning to his meal. "Did...studying together help you....?" He asks after a moment.

Lovino peers over Kiku's shoulder with a curious glance. "You're always so absorbed in those books but he second anyone comes over you put them away."

Lovino then plops down next to Kiku "T-Thanks for letting me sit here by the way. It really did! I mean yeah it kind of took forever to get, but it was better than trying it on my own at least."

He shifts around in his seat, not knowing really what to say before he blurted out. "So uh, do you have any plans for summer yet?"

Kiku looks a little flustered at that, pushing his book into his bag a little more to hide his shame. "I-it's nothing...just, my parents send it...." He coughs awkwardly, poking at his lunch. "You're welcome to sit by me, and I am glad that studying together helped..."

At the question, Kiku looks at Lovino, a little confused. "Well, I do not...think so. My parents haven't mentioned anything, and it's awfully close, why do you ask?"

"I uh, I was just wondering....I don't actually know much about you and I was just curious as to what other people did since my summer isn't all that fun.." Lovino sputtered out awkwardly.

Kiku thinks for a moment, but replies, "I think, if you would like to, you can come to visit me..."

"Y-You mean you're okay with me like..staying over and stuff? Like, actually going with you...to your...house and..being with you...?" Lovino was awestruck, he had never had someone invite him over to their place before.

Kiku nods, taking a bite of his food before it got too cold. "Yes, you may come to my house...if you'd like, that is. My family lives in London, so we are not too far from the train station as it is..."

"A-are you sure your parents would be okay with...me staying? You actually don't mind being around me that long?" He thinks of how wonderful it would be to get away from his pathetic excuse of a family but worries he might be imposing on Kiku too much.

"I-it's really no trouble!" he replies. "They would like to meet friends of mine...I can ask, if you would really like me to..."

"T-that'd be good, uh, what are you parents like anyways? I-I don't want to make a bad impression on them.." he asks with worry.

"They are....not terrible." Kiku settles on. "A little strict, however they are usually kind to my friends." He nods once, looking to him. "If you are polite, you will be fine."

"Alright, I should be fine then since my parents drilled manners into my head." he says "The only thing that worries me is the fact that I'm pretty sure Italians and Japanese couldn't be anymore different in a lot of ways.."

Kiku laughs quietly, and smiles. "It'll be fine, I'm sure. They will not be too upset if you do not know everything."

"I just don't want to end up looking like a dumbass, but if you say so then hopefully it'll be alright." says Lovi still not quite sure of himself
