Quite a few things have happened in the hours between the teacher's discussion and now. Murdoc slammed his book shut, and at that point he was quite ready to end it. Awkward or not, he had nothing more to say. Certainly not an apology.

What he had not counted on was Peter coming to his door. Even after slamming it in his face and leaning against it he still wound up being tugged down the halls and to the younger man's office, protesting the entire time. What if Sybille sees. What if anyone sees.

Now he's pacing back and forth in the other man's office, waiting for the right moment to storm off and out.

"Honestly. Stop pacing before I charm your shoes to the floor." But Peter doesn't really mean it and there's a kind of exasperated fondness in his voice. He's a little tense too because he's aware he's sitting on a powder keg with these two. He doesn't care about the Strider much, but he wasn't kidding about being horribly fond of Murdoc, and he dislikes the sniping and arguing and continually bringing the children into it. So if he has to sacrifice a bit to get them to stop, so be it.
