Summer don't know me no more
WHO: Sue (Noodle), open!
TONE: Should be pretty light!
RATING: PG-13, at most
WHEN: April
WHERE: Out by the lake
WHAT: Back at school Noodle decides to practice her levitation charm and jam on her guitar.
STATUS: In progress
It was something she had thought up on break, but had been unable to attempt thanks to the rules. So as soon as she was able to, Sue had raced off to the lake and found a reasonably sized rock. Wand out, the incantation comes easy, Wingardium Leviosa murmured with the correct wand movements and the rock slowly lifts itself out of the dirt to hover. Sue allows herself a small smile before using another set of rocks to pull herself up onto the still hovering one, settling into place easily. She'll start sketching out designs then.
But right now she'll haul her acoustic guitar over her shoulder and into her lap and starting to strum. She'll just hang out here for awhile, rock hovering a few feet off the ground, feet swinging against the rock in the semblance of a rhythm as she stares out across the water. Only know and then does she check her fingers, the chords so engrained in her mind. And then she'll start to hum, and all together it begins to sound like a bare boned version of this but with a voice like this.

With a small nod she responds, head turned to the new boy, "Thank you. You play?"

He doesn't mean to be insulting, and in fact his tone is more curious than anything else, but Gamzee knows shit all about Japan, except that cars and motorcycles come from there, and also some of those cartoon shows.

"What about you?"

The boy pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, opening it up ... and then staring sadly, as he realized the whole thing was, of course, soaked through with lake water.

Her strumming slows, till it's more just Sue picking at the strings with no real rhythm. Looking up she notices the box, and then the look and speaks up, "Try a drying charm or something?"

Carefully placing her guitar to the side she leans forward, holding a hand out. "Here. Give them to me. I'll see what I can do."

Within seconds the pack is dry, all the water evaporated. A quick check and then Noodle hands them back, tucking her wand away. "See?"

He's distracted by her handing the pack back, though, and he turns it over in his hands a few times before pulling a now dry cigarette out, grinning in delight. "Hey, Sue-bee, I motherfuckin' owe you one!"

His fascination and delight with the pack reminds her of Stu, the thought bringing a small smile to her face. The new nickname though gets a small head tilt. "Sue-bee? And don't worry about it."
