No one's gonna take me alive

WHO: Equius and Gamzee
TONE: light and fluffy Dark
RATING: Rish? There is swearing and violence (Also, possibly pseudo-sexual undertones?)
WHEN: April 24th, after this
WHERE: the library
WHAT: Someone is getting their rearend handed to them, and it's not Gamzee
STATUS: in progress

Equius snapped his journal back with a smirk. His emotions were all over the place, up, down, hating everyone, hating himself, but over it all, he felt a tingling sense of anticipation. Gamzee was looking for him, and he had the distinct sense it was not for a simple "conversation," oh no. His hand writing was far too sharp, his words too succinct for that. Could Gamzee actually hurt him?

Maybe. Maybe not.

But a fight was the exact kind of release he needed right now, and the Slytherin boy was certainly making himself available.

Packing everything into his bag, Equius got up and quietly left the library, keeping his head down and eyes alert. He didn't want to make things too easy for Gamzee, after all. That took away all the fun.

A lot of people thought that Gamzee was scatterbrained. He was, actually, pretty all over the place with his thoughts sometimes, but he was capable of focus sometimes. Especially when he was angry. When he was angry. everything became hard and sharp and echoing in his mind, like there were two of him speaking, one a whisper, and one a shout, and everything became SO CLEAR.

The Slytherin liked Equius. Genuinely liked him, didn't just tolerate him - he felt sorry for the pureblood sometimes, and other times he was delighted by the younger boy's interests and dreams that he was so careful with. But none of that mattered right now. It wasn't as though he suddenly started to hate the Ravenclaw, but some things WERE NOT ALLOWED. Making Tavros cry outside the aegis of a rap battle or a formal fight was one of those things, blindsiding the Hufflepuff with cold, hard reality, trying to take away his beautiful dreams.

NO.

So Gamzee didn't give up when he didn't find Equius in the library. No, he kept looking. It probably would have been easier if he was good at charms - he might have used a spell to find the other boy. But he wasn't, it was one of his worst subjects, so he was stuck with manually searching everywhere he could find, empty classrooms, abandoned hallways, the occasional closet.
