WHAT: Galen and Kid are going to do like manly men who do manly things and have a good old-fashioned brawl.

[Kid is waiting outside the classroom, and ignoring the no-fighting rule for once, because sometimes you need to show someone order with a beat down.]

[Upon seeing that his last attempt at doing nonverbal magic seemed to have worked, Galen decided to try and reverse Kid's silencing charm on him. After thinking the counter charm, Galen lifted his wand.]

Protego!

[Galen's voice came out as no more than a whisper, and the force of his shield charm was barely enough to withstand the brunt of Kid's spell. He felt his feet slide out from under him, and he fell forward, breaking his fall with the hand not holding his wand. He murmured the counter spell aloud, and then reached his wand arm forward.]

Expulso!

[At this point, Galen didn't quite care if his spell was potentially deadly. He was not going to play fair anymore. He wouldn't use an illegal curse, no. But he wasn't going to aim for things around Kid anymore. If his spell caused Kid to explode, then he didn't particularly care. Screw the rules, he was angry.]

[The crashing sounds could hardly be ignored for much longer, especially not when Cierra heard voices. Was there an unauthorized duel going on? No matter, she had to get in there before someone seriously hurt themselves.

She was in such a rush that it barely registered who the dueling students actually were as she sharply swished her wand and dispelled the atmosphere of any offensive spells. But as the static settled and she was able to take in the scene more, she could feel her stomach sink.

Still, Cierra is a teacher. She can't let emotional attachments impede her duties.]

You two. Come with me to Dumbledore's office immediately.

[The charm was dispelled before Kid had a chance to defend against it, and when he looked to who had walked in, his wand hand dropped, along with the anger and disgust that had been fueling him.

It was Professor Cierra, his Charms teacher, Head of House, and someone Kid respected greatly. If there was anyone who Kid didn't want to catch him fighting, it was her. Particularly in the state they were both in, each of them with various injuries.

This could very well cost him his position, not to mention her respect. With that thought in mind, the duel seemed very much over.] ...Understood.

[Of all the people to catch them fighting, Galen had to wonder why it was her of all people. She infuriated him beyond belief, with the way she... cared, or whatever she called it. He honestly felt she just needed to mind her own damn business. He clutched his wand even tighter.]

You're interrupting something important, Professor.

[Kid looked at Galen sharply for his insolent tone.]

Shut up. We're done here.

[burntoashes]

There's nothing important about an unauthorized duel between two students. Now you'll either come with me or I'll tie you up and drag you behind me...please.

[Being cut off mid-sentence by Cierra just makes his anger go higher. If that's at all possible.]

And what gives you the right to determine whether our personal matters are of importance? We're not children, we have every right to settle matters that pertain to us; just as you would if you had something to settle with someone.

Oh, my. [The "my" comes out as a breath, she flicks her wand at Galen to magic the ropes she had threatened to use into existence. They snap forward to their target while Cierra shakes her head.]

I would say that I hate to tell you this, but telling the truth is part of my job: you are a child. Out of the both of you, Kid is the only one that qualifies as an adult here even if he's acted in an irresponsible manner tonight. Settling matters with violence is never the answer, nor is it how I ever settle any of mine.

Don't you ever quit running your–

[Kid was mildly surprised that Cierra had actually tied Galen up. In a different circumstance, he might have even been amused but the mention of him being an adult and acting irresponsibly stung somewhat. Either way, he needed no such coercion to start over towards Cierra while he avoided meeting her eyes, walking over bits of charred desk in the process and making a face at the destruction they'd done to the room. It really was reprehensible.]

I fully intend on putting this room to rights, Professor.

[There were no words for how angry he was. He was really quite mad. Oh look, the nearest desk next to Cierra just burst into flames.]

I. Am not. A child.

Let me go. Let me go right now, or I swear I'll-

[Not going to finish that sentence, but he really wishes he could.]

[burntoashes]

[She doesn't flinch when the fire starts, oddly. She's used to fire.]

Hush. [Her voice is layered with the magic of Silencio.] You honestly need to learn to control your anger, that is a trait of a proper adult.

--Ah, Kiddo, could you put that out for me please? I'm afraid I'm beginning to get a headache.

[Kid did flinch when the fire started, glaring at Galen for threatening Cierra. This guy really was an insubordinate idiot, and dangerous besides. He raised his wand to put out the fire but his gaze stayed on Galen.]

Aguamenti.

[And you need to die Cierra. Die painfully a hundred times over. But he can't actually do anything because he's bound really tightly, though he attemps to struggle free. After a moment, he notices Kid glaring at him, he meets his eyes, and all of his hatred is in the glare he's giving Kid.

This isn't over, Kid. You can be sure of that.]
