[Rose has just decided on some sugar quills and a few other candies she's planning on trying. She heads out, looking up at the sky for a moment. It was a surprisingly nice day.

She's wearing a nice white blouse with her school vest, and the school skirt, but she's adorned herself with a handmade scarf and the usual lavender headband.]

[Tony raises an eyebrow at Rose as she comes out then gives his trademark grin.]

Lalonde, while I always find you stunning in your uniform, truly I mean. Always graceful.

You know the weekend is a time for, I dunno, a more casual flair?

[She just smiles pleasantly.]

You flatter me too much as usual.

I felt like I should stick to school uniform. I had planned on doing some more school oriented things after my trip here. Unfortunately, I didn't think much as to really spending my day here today. Some candy from Honeydukes and a drink, and I would head back to school. I suppose I'm not feeling too shop savvy this weekend. Perhaps next Hogsmeade trip.

Hmm, yeah. Not spending much time here really is unfortunate. How about I shout you some lunch then? Then at least the trip down isn't a total waste?

[He speaks casually, giving a slight shrug, just so she doesn't feel too pressured, but his grin is still as charming as ever.]

I wouldn't mind having lunch together. It would be marvelous, really.

[It's impossible to really make Rose feel pressured. She is immune to such ways. Or so she likes to think most of the time.] Today wasn't really a waste, but I think I would prefer the company than slaving away on homework right now.

Well then.

[Popping the lollipop back in his mouth, Tony bends an elbow and offers it to Rose.]

You can choose our location, and we can talk about anything other than homework. Which works, because it's generally a boring subject to talk about anyway.

[Rose loops her arm around his.]

I think the Three Broomsticks would be a fine place to dine. A butterbeer and a meal is usually acceptable. [And she generally isn't all that picky, honestly.] I don't find it boring, but I know many do, so I will humor you.

To the Broomsticks then.

[He starts to lead her off in that direction.]

I never have time to find it boring, I usually have it finished by the end of the day.

Of course. I don't know how students can wait so long to do it. If it bores you to tears, you should just get it done with so you can stop incessantly whining about it. If they actually worked on it early, they'd have less time crying about it and more time to enjoy themselves.

[Rose is so not beneath making fun of people who procrastinate.]

Yeah, but who ever wants to do what they hate when they can avoid it? I mean, I know I put off interviews as long as I can. Which is probably one of the better things about English boarding schools.

But hey, not everyone finds Homework easy enough to just sail through like some of us.

People who rather not have to keep it looming over their heads until the last minute. Which is to say, most of the student body thinks that but still refuses to do their work.

They could ask for help.

Really? Ask for help? You're looking for common sense amongst teenagers? Why Ms. Lalonde, I think you're looking in all the wrong places for that kind of thing.

[He chuckles as they approach three broomsticks, opening the door to let her in first.]

I'm putting hope that one day they will see the light and finally realize that they are not obviously alone in a cruel man eat man world. Overdramatic as it is, it isn't really going to finish your essay due the next morning.

[She smiles lightly as she steps inside.] Gentleman as always I see.

You mean, by the time they're working in their jobs for the ministry or down on the corner shop?

[He gives a cool grin, as he comes in behind her.]

My parents might not have taught me much. But they taught me what's important.

Assuming that those who are running around like headless chickens will make it to ministry. But, I suppose I can easily be proved wrong. Perhaps they're just late bloomers.

You'll get all the girl's swooning. We've been told that chivalry is dead.

Haven't been to the ministry of late have you? If there's a place that collects headless chickens, it's pretty much them.

[His grin widens.]

Well then, at least I know I'm doing all the right things for swooning girls.

I tend to not try and be involved. [The Lalonde family are not exactly the most pro-Ministry family.]

You best be careful. We tend to flock.

Dad dealt with them a lot on his projects. On the few times I got to go with him. They spent a lot of time running around like the world was going to end...Hmm, well considering the time. But really I've been there since and it's pretty much the same.

I've never had a problem with pretty girls wanting to flock around me.

I'll take your word for it and promptly avoid it with my entire being. I had no interest in working anything related. The amount of social gatherings I'd probably end up going to would just cut into actual working time.

You say that, but one day you'll find one you want to keep and you won't know what to do with the others.

Dad managed to work and be social at the same time, you never know. You look like one hell of a juggler. Besides, that's what a P.A is for.

Me? Find a girl I want to keep? Yeah, can't see that happening.

It isn't so much I couldn't handle it. I just feel like a job where I don't have to force myself into social situations like that is more suited for me. I can only handle idiots for so long.

Oh no. I'm dreadfully sorry. I didn't realize you were more interested in the more masculine types. [She's so teasing.]

Well I know what that's like at least. It's probably why I stay up so late, to avoid them.

[He smirks.]

Funny, I don't think I'm the settling down type.

I wouldn't say settling down, persay. Think of it as just a permanent client whom you just so happen to have deeper bonds with. Settling down is a terrible term, in my opinion. It sounds like a one way trip to turning into a trophy wife or a be at home mom. Rubbish.

Permanent client? You know, you're starting to make me feel almost cheap.

[He does however chuckle at her thoughts on settling down.]

Just makes me think of being calmer, or I don't know, being tamed. That being said, even if you do 'settle down' I really doubt you'd be a trophy or a stay at home mom. They might be though.

[He smirks.]

Heavens, no. I don't mean to do so. I merely thought a change in word choice might be more encouraging.

[She chuckles lightly.] Well, they would have it easy, so they can't complain. Not that I would let them slack. I would never consider anyone who couldn't pull their own weight around. How dreadful would it be to have conversation and I had nothing about them to gloat about. I do love gloating rights.
