Marshall had seen Arthur's brothers around. They had seemed pretty exuberant..he'd just never spoken to them personally.
"I can understand that. I like it quiet most of the time. Always have."

When he was alive it had always just been Marshall and his mother so it was usually quiet in their house. And after that..well, the life of a vampire was usually pretty solitary by default.
