Good afternoon, quidditch fans! We're here for the final match of this year's season, the face-off between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw! Exams can't have left the teams with that much time to train - unless they're particularly dedicated, which come on, they should be! This is quidditch, and that means it's serious business, folks! The audience are getting hyped up, drumming against the stands and I can feel the electricity in the air--! Or maybe that's just the thunder storm slowly brewing on the horizon. Better make this a quick match or this whole thing could be a wash-out!

Both captains are looking confident as they come out onto the pitch. I'm not sure the statium can handle this level of charisma! Fans in the stands are whistling - hold on to your panties, ladies, you'll delay the game while we clear off the pitch! It looks like we're going to see an exciting match today, and just what we all need after the exam period.

We're off, and first possession to Ravenclaw! The intrepid Miss. Romanoff takes the quaffle, and she's heading straight for the goals with the Gryffindor chasers on her tail-- and that was a narrow miss by a high-speed quaffle hit by Gryffindor's captain! Romanoff fumbles the quaffle, dropping it to Steve Rogers who's pulling a sharp U-turn and heading back up to the other end of the pitch! The Gryffindor fans are rising in their seats in anticipation for the first goal of the match - Rogers rarely fails to impress in these matches, and this doesn't look like it's going to be any different! Tony Stark's coming in fast, he's flying in very close to Rogers, but he's not letting it get to him! Odinson looks like he's yelling something at the Ravenclaw captain, maybe I can read his lips...

... Oh. Never mind!

Rogers is nearing the goals, still trying to shake Stark off-- he drops sharply to lose the other chaser, and shoots-- missing the goal by an inch! None of the Gryffindor players are looking pleased with that little stunt by the Ravenclaw captain, and Keith is.. enthusiastically flipping him off. It's always good to see players with a bit of class!

Ravenclaw's tactic looks like it's cutting things as close as they can without incurring fouls - smart move, but how long can they keep it up before the hot-blooded Gryffindor team start to retaliate? Let's find out!

Gryffindor have taken the quaffle again with the three chasers playing keep-away with the Ravenclaw team. It looks like they're going for a second try at goal, and a well aimed bludger from Alfred Jones keeps Stark off them in time for Gryffindor to evade the Ravenclaw keeper and score!

It's 10 - 0 to Gryffindor, and possession falls back to Ravenclaw. The seekers are still circling above the pitch, looking for that illusive flash of gold, but the game goes on, and Ravenclaw take the quaffle again with Stark at the head of the trio. Rogers is closing in, but not fast enough as Stark passes to Roman-- he doesn't pass! Tony Stark misdirects the Gryffindor keeper with a feint and shoots, the keeper bringing the tail end of his broom around to catch the quaffle in a futile effort at a last minute save! The score is pulled up to an even 10 - 10, and the keeper must be kicking himself over being thrown off like that! I hope the Ravenclaw team has some more tricks up their sleeves, because a ploy like that rarely works more than once!

This is just what we've needed, ladies and gents - a good competition to work out the frustrations of the past few weeks. The first drops of rain are starting to fall as Ravenclaw takes to the goals again and puts in a second goal for Ravenclaw! This time courtesy of the lovely Miss Romanoff.

At 20 - 10 to Ravenclaw, the heavens have opened and are making the match that much harder! We're not going to call off because of a little rain, so get your umbrellas out, cast your water-repelling charms, and sit tight, because we're in this for the long haul. That's right, you just sit right back down there. Alfred and Thor are acting as a two-man beating machine keeping those vicious bludgers off their players, and Jones must want to be particularly careful after that hit in the last match. It doesn't look like there's any lingering effect to his swing, but if I'm not mistaken he's keeping a wary eye out to ensure it doesn't happen again and I can't blame him! I wouldn't want to be hit with one of those things.

With this rain it's doubly hard to see where the snitch might be - that little blighter's hard to spot even on a clear day - and I hope the seekers thought to charm their goggles to keep the rain off, or we could be here all day! Steve Rogers and Keith Jones are taking the quaffle up the pitch, the third chaser bringing up the rear, and-- OOH WHAT WAS THAT!? Tony Stark shot up out of nowhere for an intercept, only to be hit by the rearmost chaser!! Was that deliberate? Is the referee calling a foul? She is! Under protest by the Gryffindor chaser - I'm sure they're saying it was an accident, but I've never seen a broom jackknife upwards like that without some kind of purpose behind it - a penalty is being awarded to Ravenclaw!

Stark takes the penalty. The rain will only be making this more difficult, and Gryffindor's keeper has the advantage in wind direction-- He takes the shot and I don't believe it, it's in, and the score is 30 - 10! The seekers are drifting lower now, searching for the snitch and Coraline Jones is-- what, another Jones? We need a cap on the number of people with the same surname we let on the teams. Are they even related? No?

Dang.

Wait, what's that? The Gryffindor seeker is flying towards the Ravenclaw end of the pitch at high speed! Have they seen the snitch, and if so, how? The weather is on no one's side, but these teams train hard for a reason, and here it is! It looks like they've really seen it, and now Coraline is on the trail too! Her broomstick is the faster of the two, but the other seeker can clearly see something she can't, and she's hanging back from taking the lead! The chasers are putting their all in now, keeping the quaffle in play while the seekers chase after the one tiny glint of gold that can put it all to an end. Coraline is pulling level now, flying dangerously close to the other seeker for such high speeds. It looks like close up and risky really is the Ravenclaw tactic for the match, and so far it's paid off for the chasers, but will it do the same for the seeker?

Romanoff takes the quaffle, and she's heading up the pitch to try for a fourth goal for Ravenclaw-- BUT GRYFFINDOR HAVE THE SNITCH!

Wait, do they?

Yes! Gryffindor's seeker is holding the snitch up, and the referee is calling it! Gryffindor win the match, and the cup! Their seeker is being piled on by the rest of the team, and anyone who skipped out on this match because they were afraid of a bit of rain just missed a great end to the season, and to the year! Comisserations to Ravenclaw, but they put up a challenge to be proud of!

Time to go back inside and dry off, everyone. Let's not start the summer off with any annoying illnesses. Once again, Gryffindor have taken the Quidditch Cup, with a final score of 160 - 30! Thank you, everyone, and good day!
