WHAT: Canon selves event! A seance gone awry has had its effect on the school, bringing about mental and physical changes to students and staff alike! Full details of the combinations of effects can be found here.
STATUS: Ongoing! Use whichever style you like.

[Spring brings change, but that change isn't always a good thing! Whether your character has changed entirely into their canon self, or only in part, please keep in mind that whatever they know/learn of their original canon during this event will be unable to be clearly recalled - disappearing with their past self - when the event is over. This is to avoid fourth-walling after the conclusion of the event.

Please also keep in mind that some people will not want to fourth-wall during the event! Make sure it's alright with the other player before you decide to do that. Above all, though, have fun!]

Oh my... good heavens.

[No, this is not what she expected to see when she walked around the corner. Dolores has seen a few people today who have suddenly turned grey and grown horns and sharp teeth, but she's been assured by contacts in Hogsmeade that it's the result of a seance gone wrong and they're working as quickly as they can to fix it. In the meantime.. well, the best she can do is try to keep people calm.

When she rounds the corner and comes face to face with that, however, the first thing that happens is her knees promptly buckling underneath her, only saved from falling by her back hitting the wall.]

[He moves ridiculously fast, far too quickly for something of that size, and is by her side as her back hits the wall, one massive hand sliding behind her to keep her from sliding to floor.] Dolores, it's Rhys.

[His voice is a low, inhuman growl, though, and his monstrous form really quire distracting.]

R-Rhys?

[She's always felt small beside him, but this is ridiculous. Distracting isn't quite the word she would use, and if she had a heartbeat it would no doubt be hammering against her chest.]

What.. [Dolores grips his arm, standing up and carefully easing away from him.] This is the most impressive case of this I've seen..

[There's an odd dissonance in him as she moves away - part of him feels a pang, that she's frightened of him even knowing who he is. But another part feels a jolt of pleasure, satisfaction to see the fear in her, even if her lack of living response means he can't really smell it the way he should. He notes the strange reaction with a faint frown, then backs away from her, giving her space.]

I'd thank you, but somehow I doubt you mean it as a compliment.

It was not meant as an insult, either, I..

[Alright, she is a little afraid, but it's difficult not to be. Still, she gently pats his arm as if to reassure him, and smiles.]

Do you feel well?

Not really. I seem to be dealing with a set of alien instincts which comes with this body, it's rather disconcerting. I told Ampora earlier that he did not smell edible. [sighs]

Oh, dear.. well..

[She squeezes his arm softly.]

Perhaps you should come and rest a moment, instead of walking the halls commenting on the palatability of fellow staff.

I'm not tired, and there are children running around as adults willing to attack things. [snorting a huff, then shaking his head] But I no longer seem to be the best shake for calming anyone.
