WHAT: Canon selves event! A seance gone awry has had its effect on the school, bringing about mental and physical changes to students and staff alike! Full details of the combinations of effects can be found here.
STATUS: Ongoing! Use whichever style you like.

[Spring brings change, but that change isn't always a good thing! Whether your character has changed entirely into their canon self, or only in part, please keep in mind that whatever they know/learn of their original canon during this event will be unable to be clearly recalled - disappearing with their past self - when the event is over. This is to avoid fourth-walling after the conclusion of the event.

Please also keep in mind that some people will not want to fourth-wall during the event! Make sure it's alright with the other player before you decide to do that. Above all, though, have fun!]

Though, there was this one time I lost the keys to the handcuffs, that got a bit twitchy.

[He squints for a moment as he struggles to figure out the nickname.] How do you know? This is precisely his method of trickery.

Are the others around? I've yet to see another teammate, I will admit.

So the catch is there is no catch, huh? [He waggles an eyebrow.] So long as I'm not catching crazies off you, that is.

[He shrugs.] Go ahead fairy, pucker up because I've clearly had too much to drink.

Neither did I. Kind of makes you unprepared once zombies really do start invading and you're kind of just there with a gun wondering what the fuck is on.

[He shakes his head but then he gives a slight nod.] I guess you could say that. The names Nick, by the way, professional zombie ranger.

It looks like you're the adult in this situation. [She raises her hands and does quotation symbols with an eye roll.]

To keep us distracted? To keep us away from a certain location? For shits and giggles? Because the voices in his head said so? I don't think he needs a reason to pull stunts, like how you don't need a reason to charm a woman.

He gives the troll a curious look and makes a scissoring motion with his fingers, asking if Mituna might know where to find scissors.]

[Even like this, it seems he's still more or less the same. That's comforting, in a way. At least she has a good idea of how to deal with him in a way that isn't going to spook him or confuse him too much.]

[She held on tightly to the scissors, and put them away in an inside pocket of her robe.

Meulin wasn't surprised that he didn't take her hand, but she had to at least try. Now came the predicament of figuring out how to restrain him without actually casting any spells directly on him. He was clearly looking around for something--like another sharp object, or maybe even a weapon.

Desperate, Meulin went for the next thing to pop into her panicking mind.]

[Tiny, silvery birds popped out of her wand to flutter about her, seeming to be made more of light than any actual substance. She pointed the wand at Kurloz and they flew at him, all of them trying to goad him back towards the bed.]

Shark, actually. Tiger shark. So I suppose I lied when I said I was nothin' like this, I'm certainly fishy. Not to mention toothy.

[He sighs tiredly, this day has just been exhausting to him.] And I suppose you don't generally feel that way? If it helps any, I've seen some questionable mental behaviour alongside bodily transformations. It's about time someone wrote to the minister, honestly..

[Murdoc is going to snort, rolling his shoulders back tiredly and stretching.]

Alright then. [He starts to stride toward the hall, ignoring any looks he gets.] Follow along, Captor.

[How? He's not sure. He has memories of being here, walking these corridors, interposed over his memories of hundreds of years of life, wars and endless political strife. The latter only comes to the fore now because of the person in front of him, someone that part of himself recognises.]

As for that dire excuse for an insult, I shan't even give it the dignity of a response. If you're reduced to attempting to insult my cooking your mind truly must be on its way out.

[He follows obediently, trotting at Murdoc's heels and keeping his head down. People stare at him enough as it is.]

[He tilts his head, then gives a small nod. The motion is simple but clear enough.

It doesn't even occur to him what Kurloz might want scissors for.]

[Snorts about the handcuffs.]

Was this before or after Afghanistan?

[He's ready to lunge at her when he sees the wand flashing-

But then the silvery twitter beasts appear. Kurloz stares at the birds and swats at them with his hands, trying to get them to go away, inadvertently backing away towards the other bed.]
