WHAT: Canon selves event! A seance gone awry has had its effect on the school, bringing about mental and physical changes to students and staff alike! Full details of the combinations of effects can be found here.

[Spring brings change, but that change isn't always a good thing! Whether your character has changed entirely into their canon self, or only in part, please keep in mind that whatever they know/learn of their original canon during this event will be unable to be clearly recalled - disappearing with their past self - when the event is over. This is to avoid fourth-walling after the conclusion of the event.

Please also keep in mind that some people will not want to fourth-wall during the event! Make sure it's alright with the other player before you decide to do that. Above all, though, have fun!]

[Mituna looks, if nothing else, utterly confused by this, but he lets Kurloz push him away and stands there biting anxiously at his lower lip.]

[As soon as the sword comes out, Murdoc is going to roll his eyes and sigh dramatically. Clearly there's something going around and clearly some are effected more than others.]

You know what? [He holds his hands up, so Dirk knows he's unarmed with no intention of attacking.] I have absolutely no idea. I suppose you just look like somebody I know.

[He does not feel like explaining the situation at all.] Tell me why you're calling me a troll.

[He glares bitterly with those giant, blue eyes.] Sorcery is afoot. [He declares, striding toward Stark with his chest puffed out.]

I fear it may be Loki.

[To be fair, Thor really doesn't know how to come across as impressive when he's so tiny. The last time he was this small he was quite capable of flipping tables, he truly isn't himself.]

Do you expect me to stand idly by whilst they concoct more mischief? If anyone is to take issue with my temper, they may present themselves as a challenge or remain silent.

I imagine they stay in secret, not wanting to cause panic. I guess that they were prepared for such a situation. Unfortunately, it seems we've somehow weaseled our way through. [She won't mention that she can use magic.]

I don't know if you're familiar, but I come from America. But I wouldn't worry about such a problem. I'm very accustomed to traveling and getting around.

Also, it is not generally what I am into. I lean more on fiction of fantastical wizards and the macabre horror that includes Eldritch background.

It would take quite awhile to explain it. I came from a session in which meteors hailed down upon Earth and destroyed it. A lot of dying and grief was involved and it ended up with me meeting up with trolls on a meteor.

[She says this so seriously.]

I take issue with your lack of manners. Our hosts may be polite enough to endure your loud railings but I will not let you persists in embarrassing them and yourself. We do not know who is responsible but pointing wild fingers will not get you anywhere.

[Sun Jian sighs and rubs the back of his neck.]

Much like this "Hogwarts" that we have slipped into, I do not know where "America" is. If this was the time for it I would be curious to ask about your home but perhaps we shall save some time for it later when we have sorted things out properly.

[Kurloz jumps when the scissors tear out of his pocket and straight into Meulin's hand, his own hands snatching for them before they shoot out of his reach. He scowls at the girl and bares his teeth, looking downright feral and menacing for just an instant before pulling it all in again, expression blank as he tucks his hands back in his pockets and just stares down at her.]

[Damn, but even if this guy isn't the real Mituna he sure as hell acts a lot like him. So much so that Kurloz can't help but ruffle the troll's dandelion puff hair fondly, careful not to touch his horns.]

[Crap. So much for that plan.

The way he looks at her actually makes her jerk but and fear begins to course through her, but concern for her friend overrides it still. Meulin tightens her grip on her wand and stands up, eyes never leaving Kurloz's. Where his expression is blank hers is clearly upset. What should she do? He isn't reaching for his wand which means he either doesn't have it with him, or has forgotten about it thanks to whatever spell or curse is messing with him.

Which means she has an arsenal of spells at her disposal but...

It would be easy to use a binding spell but even now, Meulin can't bring herself to raise her wand against Kurloz directly. That would be the very last resort.]

Kurloz. [Hopefully that could at least still be understood. She held out her free hand, beseechingly]

Uh... No. I'm pretty sure the question I asked you is the most accurate question. So come on, spill.

[Also he doesn't get what your expression is for, Rose. So you're meeting your ecto dad for the first time. Big deal.

[Marshall's pretty quick on the uptake and he's decent at charades so he gets the gist of what Kurloz is trying to tell him.]
Gotcha. So this isn't your home turf either huh?

[Marshall thinks for a few moments before gesturing to himself and then to Kurloz and then pointing down the hall while giving him a questioning "how about it?" kind of look.]

Maybe if we go down this way we can find someone else to ask.

[He's actually rather impressed that she doesn't flinch. Even Fionna had looked shocked when she had first seen him transform. He morphs back into himself and lands on the ground and gives an almost apologetic smile.]

I'm starting to think the same thing. How about you tell me the name of this land and this place and I'll tell you where I'm from. Maybe then we can figure something out?

That's true. It is pretty dismal around here. Your place sounds similar to the Candy Kingdom where I'm from. That place is bright and full of sugar.
