[John takes note of Sherlock's attempt to follow his example. Though it's shaky and unpracticed, it's good that he's trying. He gives a low, encouraging hum which resonates as a slight tingling on the lips, hoping Sherlock will get the message that his effort is appreciated. As Sherlock's awkward hands drop from his face, he brings his own hand up to cup Sherlock's chin and run a thumb over one of his very impressive cheekbones. Another lesson that hands on the face can work, provided they're not just shoved there willy-nilly.

It's strange, how this can simultaneously be so similar to and yet so astonishingly different from all the times he's kissed girls. But it's a good strange, even if it's beginning to register that they'll really need to get some air soon.]
