Burning down the house

WHEN: December 20th
WHERE: Near the edge of the Forbidden Forest
WHAT: Since there're so many new adults around, the Makara boys decide to throw an impromptu bonfire night!

The bonfire set on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, and the boundary of the school property, rivals the one set for Guy Fawkes. But there are no frozen flames spells here, and the heat roars off it, sending sparks crackling and dancing toward the sky. Two remarkably similar young men dance around the fire, and even in the December weather, the heat allows them to do so without their shirts on, revealing extensive tattooing. The shorter, more muscular one is decorated with white bones, echoing what's under his skin, and the taller, more slender one has similar bones tats, but done in black ink, along with occult symbols. White bones, Kurloz, has a fiddle, and black bones, Gamzee, has a drum, and the music is as wild as their movements.

There are a few flasks of liquor being passed around the fire, and an ominous figure in black robes with giant horns spiraling up from his silver-shot black mane sits some distance away, gripping an ebon wood staff, but the overall mood is celebratory. Any excuse for a party, after all!



((OOC: Anybody can show up to the bonfire, and pretty much anyone who knows the Makaras or has run into them over the last day has been invited. But ex-professor Rhydderch will be keeping an eye out for underage craziness - those who are still students won't be turned away, but they won't be allowed to get riproaring drunk, either, as this is more aimed at adults than kids.))

[Even with all the things she's seen in her life, everything she's been through, there is still something about this which makes her hesitate. Dolores doesn't approach the fire close enough for it to cast light over her, not at first. She stands a distance away and watches the young boys - who she had not seen for many years longer than it had been since she saw their older mentor - go about their dancing around the fire.

When she makes the decision, not to turn back, but to accept the invitation that was offered to her by Rhys, she makes a beeline straight for him. She won't object nor resist being waylaid between that point and her chosen destination, but eventually she will make it there, and rather than sit, she'll offer her hand down to the older wizard with a sweet, but undeniably mischievous smile.]

[A young man in a labcoat -it's what muggle healers traditionally wear, so it must helps him to blend in with the muggles- stands a small distance from the bonfire, watching the proceedings with a placidly curious smile. He can't say he understands this ritual very well, but he has always found it rather fascinating. Also fascinating is the fact that he's been transported back to Hogwarts, but they'll be time to ask about that later.]

-=the makaras aren't the only ones who've grown to be a bit more wild looking over time. Tavros had run with horses and flown with dragons, and no matter how battered he got he just stood back up on his metal reinforced legs and kept on going.

Still, he wasn't that much better dealing with people, even if he seems more confident. He's spent so much time with animals and magical creatures that humans are still baffling=-

[Marshall stands back in the shadows and watches for a while. He knows his appearance back here will pretty much gives away his secret, but for now he doesn't care. It's nice to be out of hiding and it's even nicer seeing people that he had been pretty fond of. Besides, it's not like he couldn't just lie and say he was turned after he graduated. He steps out of the shadows and makes his way over to the fire and sits and gives an oh-so-casual wave.]
